I have stayed at this hotel several times. It is very clean and rooms are spacious. Breakfast was good. The lady at the desk was very kind, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Low key with very little amenities surrounding the park. Perfect for night sky photography! It feels like youre driving nowhere going in but once at the park you feel welcome and safe. You get the best of both worlds. Youre out in the middle of nowhere but its its own little compound of people and amenities.

I havn't been outdoor camping in many, many years. I'm so happy I chose Possum Kingdom State Park for my first time in adulthood. It's an extremely beautiful area via a lake nestled between hills. Our campsite included amenities such as covered picnic tables, a ring fire pit with a restroom/ shower within walking distance . The onsite store is... More

Beautiful state park. We arrived on Thursday and there was only one camping site taken, but starting Friday late morning it started to fill up. By Saturday morning just about every site was occupied. We were by the lake and it was really relaxing. The only drawback with it being so full was the amount of smoke from all the... More

I enjoyed the view all the way from Ranger/Caddo and the winding roads from its main entrance.Beautiful lake park that is a great relaxing hideaway for families. The covered picnic tables are sparsely distributed in between the lake and the roadside parking area---all for free use after paying the entrance fee. Tip: Get a Texas State Park Pass to save... We got to stay in a cabin. Everything was within walking distance. The swimming area was perfect. The fishing was excellent the park personnel were friendly. Watch out for the fire ants. They are pretty aggressive here.

Read the reviews, decided to go, a quietish spot, but very little to do. For a day trip, a little disappointing. Very little apart from the lake.

Visited PK State Park and stayed in the two bedroom cabin #7. The cabin is dated but clean and comfortable. The A/C works great and that's exactly what you need when it's pushing 100 degrees outside. There is a store on site, but the hours aren't real conducive. Basically 80% of the park is shut down right now because they... More

We were driving through this part of Texas so decided to go have a look. By the time we arrived, it was raining and the wind was blowing. A road runner crossed in front of us as we approached the main area. The lake was large and the white caps were heavy. Looks like a nice place to fish, camp... More

A friend and I visited PK Lake to get away from it all. There weren't any cabins or "improved" sites available, so we voted for the hike-in primitive camping. Our site (#2) was awesome. It had trees on both sides and was isolated from the other sites because of this. Several of the improved sites were being renovated but they... More
