Easter weekend

Well kept, great staff!! Nice crappie dock for those that don't have a boat. The walking trails are in good shape as well.

it was a very nice place to camp, it wasn't open for the season yet but it was so neat and clean and lots of places to park your camper.

It's been years since I've been here. And obviously it's been years since they have done any up keep. Very disappointed in how things look. Really expected something more Maintained.

Great place for family fun. Check out the huge lodge for big gathering. Can even stay the night as a big group. Check out the lake. Bring a kayak and boat and jet ski and use the grills provided. Kept clean and look for wildlife

My wife and I (and our two dogs) visited Lake Brownwood State Park on the last weekend of January 2017. We made the roughly four-hour drive from Dallas in our Casita travel trailer. My brother-in-law and his wife and their daughter and her family made longer drives from Houston and San Antonio respectively. All told, our head count came to... More

LIke a park setting. Many of the sites do have trees (some need trimming). Very clean, quiet and access to Lake swimming was great. We had a great time. July and August very very hot but not parks fault. Loved our trip!

The CCC cabin was comfortable and gave us a sense of the past of this park. My father may have worked on it as he was in the CCC. Sitting out on the patio looking over the lake at 2 am for meteors was something i will always remember.

Shelters are by lake. Roomy shelter. No pets allowed in shelters, like at all state parks. Shelters spaced close together like all state parks, but not too close. They have a volleyball court. Great hiking and views. Good hiking trail at the end of the shelter turnaround.

We stayed in cabin 11 and the view of the lake was beautiful. I would much rather stay here than in a hotel in brownwood when we visit our daughter at HPU.
