Nice place but there could be more for family and kids to do. When it is warm enough the spring feed pool nice. Pretty interesting local history.

My husband and I stayed at the fort in humble motel accommodations. The springs on the grounds were such a welcome respite from the Texas heat. Well maintained and laid back surroundings had huge oaks to set up chairs, etc. We will return, for sure.

What a gorgeous natural pool, we can't wait to go back! It was cold and clean and just wonderful. A gem in south Texas!
