This place is very peaceful, I went to take some pictures and I was surprised for the environment. The trail is easy to follow, but please watch your steps when you get closer to the falls. For sure I will visit it again.

We have been wanting to hike the falls for a while now. It was cold and misty and the climb was challenging, but it was so worth it. Glad we took the time and effort to see such natural beauty.

The trail is really rouge (I spend more time looking at the path trying to avoid rocks than looking at the scenery). Very open so hot. The decent at the end is difficult (you are going down a rock face holding onto a railing). We went in Oct and the falls were petty, however, nothing special. We came to the... More

We met some people a couple months ago that had been to the falls. I was shocked to find out that they were so close to home. Staring at the trickles of water flowing over the moss covered travertine, you can almost feel transported to a magical place out of a childhood fairy tale. There is a nice little deck... More

I wish we could have gotten closer. The view was pretty limited unless you wanted to get in the water, so bring a swimsuit or a spare change of clothes.

I hope Gorman Falls can always be protected because it is truly a Texas Treasure! All the moss and ferns growing on the side of the hill where the water drops is truly amazing! I just love Gorman Falls!!! I hope to go back after it rains and see it again!

It was very moderate hike. 2.2 miles from main entrance. I went on a very rainy month. Everything was very green and beautiful. The fall itself was very beautiful. We drove 3.5 hours to get there I would say it was worth it.

Long trail on rough terrain. Rocks hard on feet. Have to use wire rail near waterfall area. Somewhat fun and challenging. Arguious trail frustrating not enough markers to reassure you you're actually on the trail. Narrow winding not heavily traveled paths. Exposed to sun most times. Good workout if that's the most important factor.

First thing to remember when traveling here, some roads are unpaved and there is zero cell phone reception 😫 Bring CASH because upon arrival there is a SELF pay option that requires a fee $5 per adult and you can get the park pass right there and be done but if you do not have cash and you plan on... A mile and 1/2 was not far at all and well worth it. Be careful of slippery banks and watch for signs! Take water and wear appropriate foot wear. I dont recommend carrying a lot but a picnic would have been lovely.
