This is a wonderful park to visit and hike in. You can take a beautiful 4.5 - 5 mile hike around a picturesque island. There are wonderful picnic areas and a nice visitor center. We also recommend the 15 minute video in the visitor center that gives you background about this historic fort that was important in the French and... More

Fort Loudoun is an excellent place to learn about the seven-years war. The entrance is really hard to find but is totally worth it. The area is beautiful, there are rivers, fishing, and picnic grounds surrounding the fort. Inside the museum, they have a gift shop and a movie that is superbly done. Artifacts that are very well explained are... More

Let's Face it. We took the Indians' land and they actually helped us beat the Brits. Then, we killed one of their tribe, and they came back and did the eye for an eye thing. We decided to bring our law to them and they starved out the garrison, they fled and were slaughtered. If they had known what Jackson... More

They have a great reconstruction of the original fort that was located on the property. The museum is small and cozy. The grounds also have a great fishing pier and lots of walking tails.

I live up the road and wanted to see what was in this park. The grounds are beautiful and the staff was very friendly and informative. The movie in the theater was very good and I enjoyed watching it. The fort behind was really cool because you could go into the rooms and climb up the outside wall where the... More

If you're going to ONLY go to the fort you'll need an hour but really you could spedn the day here doing other things. The park has great spots for fishing, lots of spots to grill sometimes those two are in the same place. The paths are well made and wonderfully shaded a great relaxing walk. The visitor center was... We stopped here one day and unfortunately the place was unstaffed due to a training day. We decided to go ahead and walk through anyway. We had a great visit! The signs were informative. We learned a lot and enjoyed exploring and taking pictures. I'd love to come back during a reenactment and bring my grandkids. Great place! I definitely... More
