We camped on the C loop starting on Oct 9th for three nights. What makes this campground so popular is it's location inside GSMNP in the beautiful cove. The scenery is fantastic. As others have mentioned there is no electricity or showers but not to worry. With the time you save showering you can enjoy nature more. The camp store... More

nothing better than camping in the mountains - besides the Clampetts moving in next door the last night, it was peaceful. The beautiful nature trail near our campsite was too strenuous for a couple of old folks but worth the trek. Volunteer NPS ranger-types were friendly and helpful. Be bear mindful and all is well

This campground is not only a great get-away spot, but has a really nice picnic area down from it. You can sit beside the creek while the kids play or even take a foot-dip yourself. Cool, shady, restrooms.

If your looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The campground is clean. the sites are shaded . Bathrooms are kept clean and have flush toilets. no electricity and the best thing no cell service so it's time to unplug and get back to nature. Nice camp store if you forgot anything at home. Wood restrictions... More

Even without electric and water...this is a great place to get back to basic and enjoy family and your surrounding.....You are in the middle of the mountains and can just take you time for resting, spending time with family, hiking, riding bikes...etc....

We didn't use the campground, but used the picnic area. It has lots of picnic tables with grills. They are all spaced out and beautifully located in the woods and along the stream. There are restrooms. A great place to fuel up before or after a hike.

Went for a weekend camping and it was a great experience. Campsite was good, got a chance to see lots of wildlife in cades cove loop road. Saw lots of Deer, Elks and 3 black bears. One was very close to our campsite. If you are camping here then visit loop early morning around 6:30 am to see the wildlife.... More

Excellent place to camp. Nice size store with about everything you could need, and friendly staff. Close to a lot of hiking trails and the cove loop. This was our first trip to the smokies and I'm glad I chose to stay here. It was very quite and relaxing during the week.

The camp ground is well maintained and the camp store is wonderful. They carry a selection of food, drinks and even soft serve ice cream. Lots of cool souvenirs to buy too. It is generally a quiet campground, though we do camp in the non-generator area so far more primitive but worth the quiet. Only think I would wish for... More
