My wife and I love to stop by the gem mine and sift through some dirt whenever we come to the mountains. We have a lot of fun doing this together.

This was my first trip and was not disappointed. Staff is very nice and you can tell they love their job. We will be going back in July. We bought the 50$ bucket. Came with a free cut. We got the Smokey topaz.

You might want to choose a mild day to visit the mine. But my friends and I had a barrel of fun. Although It was colder than a well diggers butt. We will pick a warmer day next time.

My son went in and mined for gems and had a blast! He was thrilled with the gems that he was able to take home with him. Definitely a must stop!

This was a nice activity for our family to do. We bought a big bucket and we found a fair amount of "gems and things" in it.

The kids did have fun but for 35$ per bucket it lasted maybe 5 minutes. They did have a smaller bucket but informed us they probably wouldn't find anything in it and just giggled. That's there way of getting more money! They had "gemologists" to...More

I don't know their exact hours, but we went there fairly early one weekday, because it was a priority activity, and they were open and ready. I'm sure their hours are posted on their website.
