all the way back in 2000 I went to the bluegrass jam-session on sunday evening to air my old morris dreadnought for the last time. great picking session - the best pickers had occupied the male rest-room. if you are ever in nashville and you are an aficinado then don't miss this place. I still have pictures of the jamsession. Oh bring me back.... . the next day I bought a d28 from gruhn.

This place is truly hallowed ground. So many great musicians have graced their stage, I don't have time to list them all here. I'm told that superstar Dierks Bentley hosted a weekly bluegrass show there for several years, when he first got to Nashville. When you go, check any bad attitude or obnoxious behavior at the door. This is a place to make friends a enjoy family friendly music.

Made it in to see the Sunday evening bluegrass jam session. And that’s what it is—a jam session with amazing musicians. Throughout the evening, different musicians would arrive, bring out their instruments and join the circle. There were probably between 7-10 musicians at a time playing. There were even a couple of middle school aged girls all joined the circle who were amazing! Not a huge selection of food, but the pizza was good and the beer was cold. The only thing that would have made it better in my opinion would be if the mics were on (there are mics right above the performers).

Visited this venue twice. Best was a Sunday afternoon - gospel sessions - very enjoyable - all artists are known if not famous. Great atmosphere.

Do not miss this. Go to the Sunday bluegrass jam. Get there early to get a table. Good beer and snacks. Amazing bluegrass artists. Kinda far from downtown (it’s in the Gulch) but so worth it!
