Belle Meade Plantation is a non-profit historic site located in Nashville, TN. Established in 1807, Belle Meade was revered as the greatest thoroughbred stud farm in the United States. It was home to Iroquois, the first American bred horse to win the Epsom Derby and the great foundation sire,Bonnie Scotland, whose descendants include Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Native Dancer, Big Brown and California Chrome.

Belle Meade was owned and operated by the Harding-Jackson family for nearly a century from 1807 until 1906. Today their home is restored to its turn of the century appearance along with several original outbuildings.

Incredible property and it's only a fraction of what it once was. Learned all sorts of historical information and had no idea it's ties to today's Triple Crown horses. Concluded with wine tasting and I had four bottles shipped home. Highly recommend taking a tour.

We have been here a few times over the past several years. Great place for lunch and dinner. The food was very good. The service was very good. Nice store with lots of interesting and unique items for sell. Great place for events or just couples. Must visit while in town. Worth the trip and time.

My husband and I spent a couple of very enjoyable hours here this week. We were in Nashville for business and had a free half day. Visiting Belle Meade was a perfect way to fill this time. It was easy to find and the staff was very friendly. Tours are every 45 minutes so we had a bit of time... More

I just went for the second time (visited with a different group of people)! Still fun to see again! I love learning about history by being somewhere and seeing it vs reading in a book!

I visited Belle Meade with my mom in February 2017 during a short weekend trip. We did not book our tickets online and still got the time we wanted however, we went early in the morning and joined the first tour of the day, which ended up being 4 guests total. I recommend buying your tickets online to ensure your... More

The Belle Meade Plantation is a beautiful historical site. It is well preserved and a must see for people who love history. However are your was a bit disappointing. The tour guide did not have a whole lot of enthusiasm and after touring many other historic sites during my vacation they did live up to expectations. I was hoping to... More

Great tour and the wine and food pairing is worth the extra money. The mansion history is very interesting and our tour guide was fantastic!

When you enter Belle Meade Plantation, you go back in time. This is truly an historic site worth spending a couple of hours at. Take the tour of the mansion, and hit the wine bar for some delicious muscadine wine!

We just did the grounds tour and had a really pleasant time. All tours include the wine tasting and you could buy the bottle you liked to enjoy in a really nice area they have set up with bocce, croquet and horseshoe. We didn't have much time for the wine pairing nor the tour of the inside of the house,... More

Antebellum home that has a much different story than others I've been to. Tours are well organized and guides were knowledgeable. Lots of other buildings and property to wander through, as well. Go on a nice day--rain would take away from your ability to enjoy the full experience. Complementary wine tasting was a nice touch, too.
