Very interesting and informative! Make sure to go on a day that isn't hot though because there is a line to get in since they only allow a small group (like 8-12 people) in at a time. We made that mistake and it was a very hot wait! It is air conditioned though and the guides are extremely nice and... More

The well preserved home makes it appear Rachel and Andrew Jackson may have just walked out the back door! President Jackson's bedroom slippers are in place, and the dining room table is set for dinner. The grounds contain cabins, a garden and the burial locations for Rachel and Andrew Jackson. A nice museum and gift shop are also on the... More

Great museum, beautiful gardens, and a very informative tour of the home. I was very impressed with how well things had been preserved in the home and the tour guides were able to answer every imaginable question. The weather was beautiful in the spring and they offered a horse drawn carriage tour as well. It was well worth the extra... More

Very interesting. Lots to enjoy and learn about this president. Plan to walk around the grounds, tour the home and then return to the museum to learn a lot about the history and more. Get a lesson on the War of 1812 - even. We ate lunch at the cafe before the tour. We only had 3 hours before we... More

The best preserved presidential estate. The house has original wallpaper, furniture, and fixtures. The guided are costumed and knowledgable locals. You receive a handheld self guided audio tour, and get a person to guide you inside. The plantation is large and a bit hot in the summer so we cut short the back fields. Left feeling like I learned a... More

Great chance to re-visit Andrew Jackson's story and to get a taste of Southern plantation life. Note that this a private museum so this place is not politically correct. You will see no mention of the Trail of Tears of any flaws in Jackson's administration.

I love history and this place is great. It was fantastic to learn more about Andrew Jackson. I found his story to be fascinating and it was very evident that he truly loved his wife!! Great love story.

This tour was well worth the money. We were able to have a guided tour by a person dressed in period costume who knew a lot about the Jackson family and their history. We were able to see all the rooms in the house, however, people could not walk in because the doors had clear glass on them. A little... More

Really enjoyed this visit. The audio tour was very well done. Kept my 11 year old interested and he learned a lot about this 7th President of our great nation.

This is an excellent museum and home tour. Most of the items in Andrew Jackson's Hermatige are original to the home. The tour guides are dressed in period costume to give you the feeling that you're back in the 1830's.
