Great place to spend a few hours going back in time & learning about the roots of country music in sound, with unique memorabilia, & photos. I just went to the museum although there are additional excursions to purchase. Great first stop on the trip & can spend a short or long time there exploring.

Great review of the past--not so much the present
Most of the Hall of Fame is reserved for artists who are past their prime or deceased. Since an artist is not eligible for entry until 20 years after debut, this is the goal of the HOF. Very little emphasis on current artists. Overall, very well done and gives an appreciation for the history and development of country music.

Was not boring in the least. Refreshing.
I am picky about my museums and this one did not disappoint. I accidentally spent almost three hours in there between admiring the vintage cars driven by the famous, and the excitement of seeing real clothing and memorabilia of the country music stars represented there. AND we attended a free music writers show that had me in my seat the entire time. I am one to leave if I get bored and I did not get bored. Also the staff was not only helpful but delightful. Refreshing. Well worth the money to preserve this place.

Look up high on the wall!
Very interesting walk around a large museum. Many stars have big displays, some too big, and many have a very small one item displays. Some big name stars seem to be missing altogether unless you can find their gold and platinum records up on walls. To see and read all the displays, allow yourself a few hours.

A "must do" when in Nashville
If you're into country music you will like this place. Had so much history and was great to see the artists that were featured. Allow yourself at least a couple hours to take it all in. We were a little rushed and I feel like I missed some things.

Thousands of square feet of memories
If you you have been listening to country music for years, this place will jog your memory a thousand times. Even you are a rock ‘n roll fan there are so many cross-over artists and writers that you will be familiar with many if not most of the artists featured. For example, Bob Dylan wrote and performed with Johnny Cash. The Country Music Hall of Fame is also a great saver of time and money if you are on a budget or just in time for a day or two. There are many museums and bars which can get a little pricey and overwhelming. For example, we were amazed after visiting Graceland in Memphis and seeing Elvis’s guitars and outfits that there were more here. Same with the Johnny Cash Museum located in Nashville; there was more memorabilia located here and we spent the whole afternoon the previous day at the Johnny Cash Museum. You really can’t go wrong here, there is virtually ever country artist and then a whole bunch that we never heard of. In addition to artifacts and descriptions of many artists, the museum also walks you through the historic beginnings of country music. This venue is a very easy walk for seniors and physically challenged individuals with lots of open spaces and places to sit down. In terms of time, this is a very difficult question; a minimum of two hours just for a casual walk-through and at least six hours for a thorough understanding of the material. We really have no negative comments; the staff was friendly and amazing and the crowd was very light on a Thursday afternoon in December.

Interesting even if you’re not totally into country music
The building and exhibits are nicely put together. While I’m not the biggest country music fan, there’s really something for everyone inside and it was interesting to see how country music has evolved and influenced other kinds of music. I enjoyed it.

    Don't Miss it
They have an incredible collection of important instruments, clothing, and cars. It's just great. Not cheap, certainly, and the gift shop is the typical rip-off, but the exhibits are well done. NOT sure, though, why they would devote about half an acre to Chris Stapleton. I mean, he's an excellent artist, but seriously . . . one Hank Williams suit, and half a floor for CS?

    Very Informative
You could make this 1 hour to 3 depending on how much you want to read. We enjoyed it a lot. You learn how the stars of country made it big, the history of how country music evolved and developed, and you get to see artifacts from the performers. It has everything you could want. You should do this when in Nashville.

This was my second visit to the museum and always enjoy the history. The Western Edge exhibit was fantastic!!

My first time visiting Studio B. Our guide , Ron, was so knowledgeable. He told the story not just a bunch of facts. He made me love country even more.

Highly recommend!!

Pretty cool exhibits and cool memorabilia from over the years. Lots of interesting facts on some of the most popular country stars. Some interesting things to see if you look beyond the surface of them.

It was great to see all the well though out displays and how it followed the time-line of Country and Bluegrass music!
