We went there in summer although it is recommended in the winter. But the mountains were beautiful and still you can enjoy the peaceful environment.

I have been to Mt Baw Baw many times as I live locally. School holidays is one opportunity to visit a local venue, unfortunately however sonce new management was put in place a year or so ago it seems that having facilities available through the week on school holidays is not a priority for the park. Toilets are open but... More

It is a lovely place to ski and snowboard. We rented the snowboard and toboggan. It was really fun. Although the snow isn't very thick but maybe because we were at the bottom of the slope. We did not buy the ski lift as we are just amateur and looking around. The people at the ski rental were really friendly... More

The accommodation was basic but clean with only one wall heater definitely needed more heating in winter. Expensive but probably like most snow resorts. There are 3 restaurants one is very basic eg toasties, the bistro basic pub food eg fish n chip (fish from a box) and chicken parmagarma the restaurant had lovely food but was freezing even after... We stayed in apartment 6 for two nights mid week. Our thoughts: * It was just large enough for a family of four. * The apartments are a couple of meters from the day car park. * There's room for two cars to park in front for loading/unloading. The spots were full when we arrived and departed, but it didn't... More

Maybe Mount Baw Baw would have received a better rating if there was more snow but it's an expensive and long day out (from Melbourne) when only one toboggan slope is open (Frosti Frog Hollow Toboggan Park). We have taken day trips to Lake Mountain which is fantastic for tobogganing and close to Melbourne but we decided to try Mount... More

Hi Michelle, Thanks for your feedback, Sorry to hear the snow conditions were not great on the weekend you joined us at Mt Baw Baw. The toboggan parks are certainly popular, and although we work hard to have 2 parks open, when snow conditions don't allow this, just the one park opens. We certainly hope you join us again, maybe... I visited Baw Baw with my 13 year old son. Stayed in a local lodge. Great opportunity to meet other folks you wouldn't normally have contact with. The snow on first day, late July was very reasonable. Second day just rained, no skiing. My son learned to ski during his 3 hour lesson. Patient staff with focus on safety. I'd... More

I don't know what to score this place. We had a good time but our apartments (Cascade) were pretty basic and needed maintenance. I font normally complain but doors that scraped and had to be forced, water leaks in the lounge were a bit unexpected for the money we paid. The accommodation was the biggest disappointment for an otherwise good... More

Hi Thanks TKrieg, We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Baw Baw. We will be sure to pass the feedback on to the owners of the Cascade apartments. I was surprised on arriving at Mt Baw Baw that we were to be charged for parking if we stayed more than an hour. Highway robbery.
