Looks like a really wonderful place that they are making even better with renovations... but unfortunately for us in our offpeak trip, it was closed. Arriving in Jamieson the two main attractions seem to be the brewery - currently closed, and the museum - closed weekdays!

Found the place closed! Found someone there who was very unhelpful. Won't be going back there again. Emailed them, and they said they would be open!

We took a trip out to the brewery hoping to see it in operation and to sample the wares - unfortunately it was like a bit of a ghost town. Although we couldn't try a Jamieson Brewery beer we were able to have other local - we had a great game of cricket outside with a large space for the... More

If you are visiting Jamieson, there is not much to do, then visiting the Brewery is an option. Twenty of us arrived at the Brewery for lunch on a Friday afternoon without notice. There were only 2 workers but they worked hard to serve us. We had our cool beers while lunches were prepared and served with little delay. Thank... More

Our small group arrived for our booked meal on time last November 2015. The menu was dated and uninspiring showing no skill in its presentation or preparation as the venue does not employ chefs it is run by children and some adults who are unskilled. While standing to place my order I observed the man who was plating some meals... More

Visited around Christmas time with family and was a poor excuse for an outing. Food was cold, children's meal was 4 or so nuggets with a few chips and after asking for a refund, we waiting too long for action to take place. They also don't have any of their own beer and the toilets, bar and even the outside... More

I was here just after XMas 2015. They don't have any of their own Jamieson Brewery beer at the moment. None. Zip. Nada. Staff told me it's becuase it gets too hot in the summer months to brew reliably and they lose too many batches. I guess this means there will be no beer until at least March-April 2016. They... Took some friends on tour of Jamieson! Not at all impressed with brewery, felt grotty & dark as soon as we walked in. Only one beer on tap, (or a light ale),was awful. Staff not friendly and toilets off the bar not so clean, floors were wet and doors felt sticky. Sat outside, tables and chairs were also grotty, didn't... More
