Brilliant views

Brilliant views and a very enjoyable walk. Signage is good. Good maps are available. Not too hard. Take a hat and a camera and sun block.

We hiked to the Pinnacle in the early AM to avoid the summer heat and were rewarded with fewer people and beautiful vistas. The entire Grampians Park area was wonderful - but this is a must do, it is about 80 flights up (or so says the iPhone), but worth every step of the journey.

Make no mistake this is a long climb up, but the rock formations on the way are sheer fantasy stuff, so much so I felt it unnecesary to continue to the top... I must have taken over 50 photos, and unfortunatly lost my camera and film somewhere, There is a restaurant in this area called the Kukoburough (s.p. ?) That... More

Off track, awesome walk which my partner and I did in just under 3 hours (not that fit) Great views up top! Lots of little kids, elderly and families also having a ball. Not recommended for weaker travellers, but still lots of rest points and shady stops every now and again etc

Make sure you wear good shoes at least runners. Lots of people doing it in thongs. (Not recommended) but take the small detour through the Grand Canyon.

Doing this hike from the Sundial carpark is best suit to most as it is rated easy-medium. The view at the top is worth the minor slog to get there.

My partner and I did the "wonderland loop" at the Grampians, started about 11am and were back in halls gap by 3pm. The climb was steep at times and tiring but I wouldn't rate it as hard. Even inexperienced climbers can do this. We wore runners and sports gear. Take water, sun screen, a hat and snacks with you if... More

The most enjoyable hike, climbing through and over rocks got the heart pumping, perfect for all ages so long as care is taken when walking and you are prepared with correct footwear and water! Take a light lunch to enjoy the beautiful views at the top!

This was one of the most enjoyable rock walks we've done as a family. We started from the Sundial car park which worked well for us. A lot of the walk was shaded which given how warm the weather was, made for more pleasant walking conditions. The path is easy to follow with yellow arrows guiding up and back. There... More

Fantastic walk and climb to the Pinnacle. Drop the car in the car park and then wander up through the Grand Canyon,, Silent Street to the Pinnacle. Well signposted throughout. It is a tasking climb. You are rewarded with fantastic views of the plains below. Wouldn't have missed it. We were only in the area for one night and we... More
