Worth having a look at the Aboriginal history of the area Gariwerd. Very interesting architecture of the building. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice warm fire on a cold day.

Let me begin this review with the clarification that, while important, our family was not interested in the cultural aspect of the Grampians on this visit.... Having returned to the Grampians after a two and a half decade absence, I was really excited to take my boys to the rebadged Visitors centre just outside town. I wanted them to see... More

This cultural centre Is very well set up and well worth a visit. You may not have even factored in a visit but if the weather changes your plans this is a great place to consider exploring. There are so many fascinating and informative facts, boards, TV videos and artefacts on display regarding Indigenous Australians from the past and now.... More

We walked 2.2 km from Halls Gap to get to Brambuk. It was an easy walk, but seemed long as we weren't exactly sure how far we had to go, it took us about 30 mins each way, however, locals estimated 20mins. The venue itself has some really interesting architectural designs. Some great historical artifacts and photos, and information on... More

We thought this would be a good rainy day activity, thinking it was an indoor museum - wrong! Most of it is outside with little shelter from the rain. It's then quite a walk to the other building which has a few more exhibits and thankfully a nice hot fire, but to be honest it wasn't really that interesting and... More

Beautifully designed building in keeping with the amazing surrounds. The Centre is a cross between a museum and cultural centre for passing on the damage early Australians did to the Aboriginal Koori people. Yet it is presented in a positive matter. Great for kids

Jida (hope the spelling is correct) ran a session for 11 kids aged between 5 and 13 yesterday. The kids had a blast and loved learning how to throw a boomerang.... they have all been practising with the boomerangs we purchased. Jida was very informative, supportive and encouraging, and he handled our very enthusiatic group with a smile. A massive... More

This place is quite small, not much to see. We stayed there only about 1 hour. There were not many people when we visited there.

We stayed in Halls Gap for 3 days. Lots of things to see at the Cultural Centre and good information for the surrounding walks and hikes. At the centre we did the route of the "Wonderland Walk". Interested to see all the different plants, compared with the bush in Brisbane. We liked how the aboriginal culture found and used the... More

No pictures allowed inside however even though it's a bit tired looking there's a lot to read about here about aboriginal history and culture. There's also works of art on sale (not for sale) which are good to admire and there's also activities that you can book to do such as boomerang painting and throwing.
