The NED KELLY MUSEUM is part of KATE'S COTTAGE GIFTS SOUVENIRS MUSEUM & replica of the KELLY HOMESTEAD. Step through back of shop to the NED KELLY MUSEUM and an authentic replica of the Kelly Homestead... like the words of the song ... truly the "ramshackle hut" . Excellent historic coverage of the Kelly era. Rated 'The Best Ned Kelly Museum" by Getaway and featured on their show at least three times.

Somehow this one business has two separate listing for TripAdvisor reviews. Would you kindly take the time to review both KATE'S COTTAGE and the NED KELLY MUSEUM ? Thanks to all travellers who took the time to review us.

We set out for a trip to Melbourne, but decided to spend the night in Glenrowan. No trip to Glenrowan is complete without visiting the Ned Kelly Museum. It is within the souvenir shop past a gate next to the front counter; access for a pittance. But, for a small amount from your pocket, you gain access to a wealth... More

This place is great for souvenirs and priced for all budgets. Access to the museum is via this store. We did not visit this as we didn't have time. It is a small entry fee.

I won't put in any spoilers here and I'll leave it to you if you like Australian History delivered in an artistic way. I'm not one who is accepting of the Kelly hero myth as he was no more than a cold blooded murderer but this was delivered as a theatrical piece. Worth a visit.

My husband and I travelled to Glenrowan on Australia Day 2017. We looked around the town and went into this Museum. It is filled with interesting stories and is a replica of the house Ned Kelly had built for his mother. At $6.00 entry fee it is well worth the look.

Thank you Fiona for your review. When you look at the little ramshackle hut you realise there was running water. no air conditioning, the floor was made of dirt and the toilet would have been what they called "a long drop". They were tough people in tough times. Thanks again Chris More

Thank you Nikki. Rod and I have owned this business for over 32 years . One of the lovely things is we see those who came through as children now bringing in their own. Recently we saw the third generation of a family who holiday every year in Bright and always call in to see us. Thank you very much... More

Not a bad place to check out, lots of memorabilia available and the house out the back is pretty cool! Was a touch Ned Kelley'd out by the end though! Do recommend

Thank you for your review. The house...ramshackle hut is pretty cool and spooky for some of the fey leaning. For some visitors they will stay for over an hour and still want to return but others may skim through ... such is their interest with a shorter visit. Thank you for recommending us and hope that you enjoy the rest... More

Plenty of memorabilia and trinkets for the Ned Kelly fans, whilst the museum at the rear of the premises is both informative and cost inexpensive. Recommended.

Hi Thank you for your review. We have kept our prices down for many years now: Adults $6.00 and school children only $1.00 and that includes up to 16 years. Also we don't put up our prices over the holiday season...it stays the same all year round. Hope that you have a Merry Christmas and travel safely. Chris Rod ,... More

Ned Kelly is the most wellknown outlaw in Australia and maybe the most controversial.. Get to know him better . Go the museum. It has a extensive collection of period memorabilia and if you have time you can really learn a lot about the social scene in the 1860-1870s . Australia was still a pretty lawless place as were the... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. Yes the story of Ned Kelly is controversial but that is why it is so interesting. People will be arguing about him long after you and I are gone. There are more books written about Ned Kelly than for any other man in Australian history. Thank you again. Cheers Chris More

Thank you for you lovely response. Visitors to Glenrowan come from all over Australia. Thank you for taking the time. To do the museum and homestead ( ramshackle hut) justice, I do believe you need to allow at the very least 40 minutes. Many take over an hour. There is a lot to take in and absorb. Thanks again Chris More

Such an adorable little roadside stop! The staff here were fantastic and really informative, and offered us a great detour on our trip we had never considered. The museum itself is really informative with tones of memorabilia, it's a great way to break up a drive.
