Decided to explore Morristown. Came upon this little tavern and decided to get a picture with the Iris. I recommend coming during the spring. I didn't get out and look at the tavern but it was beautiful at a distance.

I grew up watching Davie Crockett on TV and to see the real Crockett artifacts was great. This is a must see.

We visited the museum although it was closed when we went there. No problem, I was able to take lots of photos of the grounds, beautiful with fall leaves falling. The covered wagon behind in the "garage" and just being where Davy Crockett had lived was an experience we enjoyed.

This is a fun and interesting place to visit. It will show you how we lived 150 years ago. Worth your time and effort to see and enjoy.

Pretty tiny museum with hourly tours. Staff knows their history, and what you can learn about Davy Crockett, the settlers at that time, and how they lived is incredible. They do offer different events throughout the year. Worth the time to stop.

Check the open schedule and step back a little in history. Great staff and they do offer various events throughout the year. Beautiful and well kept. Easy to locate. Excellent backdrop for a few photos.

This is a tiny museum dedicated to Davy Crockett with information about other settlers of this area of Tennessee. Both times that we went we had young teen boys with us and visitors from Wisconsin. The woman who was the docent for the day both times was a former history teacher in Morristown and extremely knowledgeable. She spent as much... More
