This review has absolutely nothing to do with golf… just putting that out there straight away. We came here on a detour from our Great Ocean Road trip in search of kangaroos. We certainly weren’t disappointed. We arrived later in the day (a couple of hours before sunset) so we were able to walk around the course freely as it... More

If you are like us, we did not want to leave Australia without seeing kangaroos. Anglesea Golf club has some kangaroos who have adopted their grounds and you can pay 10 dollars to get up close. Don't expect a tour. They just drive you closer to where they hang out. We still found it worthwhile because we can see them... More

Accessible from the Great Ocean Road in Lorne, the Anglesea Golf Club is just about 10 mins from the rounabout. You arrive at the golf club parking area. Buy your tickets at the Bistro. They will take you inside the golf course by a golf car. You'll see kangaroos roaming the golf course and under trees. I think, you can... More

See kangaroos in their natural environment at the Anglesea Golf Club. Guided tours are conducted half hourly 10 am - 4 pm ( Summer -7 days; Mon to Frid - other seasonal times) in a cart for 5 visitors. Guides are able to quickly locate the kangaroos that are not normally visible during the day as they rest in the... More

Just off the Great Ocean Road. Well signposted and free parking. Good choice of food and drink. Watch the kangaroos from the restaurant or take a tour.

Very enjoyable game of golf, some challenging holes in the wind. Played with 3 local members who were very helpful with tips about the course. The bonus however was the incredible amount of kangaroos that laze around and occasionally move across the fairways. The course now runs "Roo Tours" which many tourists to the area take up to get nice... More

The surf coast of south west Victoria has many great attractions: the Great Ocean Road, surfing, fishing, mountain biking to name a few. Anglesea also has a lovely 18 hole golf course with beautiful views and native flora and fauna. Most famous of these are the kangaroos, which are wild but not upset in the least by golfers. If you... The new 18 hole mini golf course at Anglesea Golf Club is alot of fun and a couple of the holes are very challenging. The golf course is also looking good. With the recent rains, the grounds are the best they have been for a while.

The club have recently introduced 'roo tours to enable tourists to get close to the wild kangaroos that live on the course, whilst not disturbing the golfers. For 10 dollars per adult you are taken on a golf buggy to see the kangaroos and are able to walk up close to them. The ladies running the tours are very friendly... More

Great food, great atmosphere. Close to the beach and you can see kangaroos from your table which is so cool. Very laid back, great staff and atmosphere.
