1 day course on a Saturday in Sydney Harbour. Hot, light breeze increasing to moderate over the day. Instructor Chris got us actively working on the boat quickly, hoisting and dropping sails, with plenty of tacking and gybing practise. I always felt comfortable even with the weekend crowd on the harbour. Chris gives clear and informative instructions and also has... More

This was an amazing experience and definitely surpassed all my expectations. A four hour Sailing Cruise from Manly Sailing to Sydney Harbour return. It started with relaxing on deck in the morning sun under sail with no noise other than the waves, a great opportunity to take in the numerous sights with landmarks, lighthouses, other water craft, bays and beaches.... My son (7yrs old) loved the kids sailing camp. It was his first time and he learnt alot from the instructors and came away with an experience he wants to turn into a hobby. ("Can we buy a boat now?") I can't fault anything with Manly Sailing, a very friendly, knowledgable and professional team that can answer and help you... More

A well located quality establishment on the water at Manly a short walk from the ferry terminal, away from the crowds and take away food venues. You feel most welcome by staff, the menu is great, casual dining wide range of beers, wines and refreshments all this whilst overlooking and or sitting over the crystal clear waters of Manly. Visitors... More

After our first trip was cancelled due to bad weather, we eagerly anticipated this day. Sharing the yacht with a total of 4 guests, we headed off into the harbour with Chris' at the helm, entertaining us with safety tips, education and philosophy! We all took turns in being "crew', from rigging, steering and sun-baking. Wonderful experience which was a... More

Last week on a Sunday afternoon my partner and I got to have a small sailing yacht and the entertaining and funny captain Chris all to ourselves. Good times! We did a 3hr Sailing experience, got hands on with the setting of the sail and steering of boat, trying to catch some wind. Learned about different racing yachts, and interestingly... More

Both instructor Chris and his wife Anne (who runs the office) were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The 6 hrs on the water was a perfect balance of instruction, relaxation, and fun! I look forward to joining you for twilight sailing in a few weeks. Thank you!

Had a great ICC course with Chris and was well looked after by Anne. Chris is clear and knowledgeable and teaches you not only what's in the book, but the sense you need to be a better sailor, skipper, and seaman outside the book. Down to earth larakin who will tell you just as it is. I'll remember lots of... More

I went on the beginners one day course to learn the basics of sailing. Having never sailed a boat in my life I was delighted to come away from the course with the basics and the confidence to crew on a boat. Chris was a great teacher and also lots of fun. I had a great day and would certainly... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
