Four Pines is a favourite of ours on a summer afternoon. My husband gets the ferry from the city after work. He loves to try out the Four Pines brews whilst they also have a great wine list. Food is delicious. Beautiful harbour view and if that's not enough, on a hot summer day there's usually a sea breeze cooling... More

Nice Pub with selfmade beer. It's close to the wharf so you can try their beer while you wait for your ferry.

With excellent, proprietary craft beer choices, great food, harbour views and live music, you just can't look past this place. I'm a big fan of the Stout, but always exciting seeing what smaller batch Keller Door experiments are on offer.

Great atmosphere - although a cool wind was blowing the late morning we were there - surprisingly they had the heaters going so this made sitting on the balcony much better! Enjoyed the taste range of the beers, some so-so others really quite good. We walked past 4 pines brewing later in the afternoon the flooding day and the afternoon... More

Its unfair to blame the crowds as to why this is not a 5 start rating, but comfort has its place. I had four beers, all of which were really well made. Nicely balanced and showed the right character to style. Highly recommended for a beer lover. We had a chicken burger and a pork burger, both of which were... More

We stopped in for lunch and had both a great lunch and a great beer. The Pale Ale was an exceptional beer with a lot of flavor. As someone who has been a fan of Pale Ale's in California, I must say that this Pale Ale was as good as any microbrew in California. We had lunch, and though they... More

This is one of my favourite places to bring friends in Sydney and also my favourite place to go for a cold beer after a day of relaxing at the beach. The pale ale is always fresh, crisp and delicious. Don't underestimate the size of the burger, it is both huge and satisfying and one of the better burgers I've... More

Huge portions and good value. Staff were very friendly. The draughts of beer and cider were tasty and the union Ginger Beer was out of this world. Great food and excellent craft offerings. Good value.

Perhaps this place gets all the high reviews for the beer, would be surprised if they were the food although it wasn't that bad. Pretty average though. I ordered a schnitzel which was overcooked with a hard over crisped batter on the outside. My husband had a burger which he thought "not bad"!!

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
