We were passing by and decided to drive around the reservoir. It was beautiful. Wish we had had longer to check out the sculpture trail. The dog and children loved playing in the water. It would be great to sail on. Will be back soon.More

On a nice sunny warm day there are few places that can beat a stop off at one of the picnic sites around Lake Vyrnwy. Excellent scenario. Good cafe at the dam end and a very good visitors centre.More

The ride round the lake is tarmac so yes fine for scooters.
