Overlooked by mountains Llangorse lake is in a spectacular location. There is a lake walk which keeps away from the edge where there are wildlife protection areas but there are many glimpses as you make your way to Llangasty church. Boats can be hired to...More

If you are visiting to walk around the lake you will be disappointed as the trail does not follow the actual lake. I'm sure this is done to ensure minimal disturbance to wildlife but there are better places to go walking in Brecons or further...More

Had a day fishing on this beautiful lake, Fishing is only allowed from a boat, it was £24 for the boat and £8 for my fishing ticket (my girlfriend wasnt fishing) so £32 for a day fishing from a boat is pretty good! Life jackets...More

We have stayed here about five times now and have booked again for next year. The site is well maintained with clean facilities, including disabled facilities. A beautiful lake that is a very short walk from the site or you can drive to it, with...More

My wife and I haven't been camping for a few years now, but we decided to bite the bullet and go back to one of our favourites, Llangorse. Set in the Brecon Beacons, it's a different world. Some fields have electric hook - up, Ernie's,...More

We took our dog and expected to be able to get up close to and in the lake. You can get near the waters edge at the boat hiring station and there are lots of ducks and swans around. The swans are very protective of...More

Lovely lake nestling in amazing scenery. We hit the wrong day (or week) as it seemed every comprehensive school in S Wales was out on the water (school adventure training). Nonetheless, we took our grandson for a quick pedal as far as the first white...More

Spent a fun morning here. Hired a rowing boat for an hour which was a lovely way to spend the morning. Free parking and a cafe close by. Shame you can’t swim in the lake but you can’t have everything!

A fantastic place to visit on a sunny day. We hired a rowing boat and spent an hour (£16) on the lake. It was excellent and the whole family enjoyed the experience and scenic location.

If you just want to view the lake the area around the jetties is flat, the walk around the lake has stiles , can be boggy if wet and is not wheelchair friendly. Their is a cafe 250 meters from the lake.

On the common is ok as long as no sheep are on there which is not normally the case. I always let my dog jump in the lake away from the ducks.
