we were on a small North Wales tour and wanted to include a short hop over to Angelsea and we read about this little old church, it is in a great position and easy to get to. It has existed since 680AD which is brilliant and a lovely place for a picnic lunch (compliments of the local Waitrose very nearby)

I have known about this place since I was a child, and have visited frequently over the years with my own parents, friends, and my own family. I love the walk through the trees to get to the tiny St Tysilio's church, and if you walk up the steps to the Celtic Cross, the views of the Menai Straits are... More

There is a pay and display car park beside the Jade Village Chinese restaurant, past Waitrose coming from the Menai Bridge. It costs 90p for an hour or £1.20 for two. From there, it is a pleasant walk down through the (Red Squirrel) woods to the causeway across the water to the island where the tiny church of St Tysilio... More

An Amazing Yew tree. Some very old intricately carver headstones and great to spot the birds on the straits whether the tide is in or out.

Beautiful walk from the Britannia bridge to Menai bridge. Part of the Anglesey coastal walks, about 4.3 miles and worth every step. There is a wildlife/bird hide and visit Church Island for terrific views of both bridges. Sensible footwear recommended and check the tide and weather as the walk is close to the straits in places.

A lovely little walk way from everything but just a stones throw from everywhere. You can park in the car park and just a short walk down to the Menai straits where it's nice and flat. The views are amazing and it's so peaceful, there are also other walks when you get down there, you can walk round to the... More

This ancient little church, which is still in use, sits on an island in the Menai Straights and is accessible by a causeway. It has some nice stained glass windows.

Beautiful spot, the church is very atmospheric. Walking around the area at the same time is a must as the church is tiny -eg around the wood, belgian promenade and views of the straits.
