Enjoyed visiting this castle. There is enough to see to hold the interest. We enjoy going around the castles and each one is unique in its own way. This one was never finished but there is still history to it. Its lovely to stroll around the grounds especially on a sunny day which we had.

One of many castles visited on our recent trip to North Wales. Nicely located in a bay and with a moat still intact lots of information boards around. My only reason for not giving 5 is no dogs allowed and also no toilets on site and all the toilets in the town were closed on this particular day

Beaumaris castle is a lovely place to visit. My daughter loved it here! There's plenty to see if you use a little imagination, and with the help of the leaflet, you'll know roughly what you are looking at. The wall walks offer some spectacular views of the surrounding areas. Within the castle there are some resources for kids and adults... More

First visit to Beaumaris so visited the castle first. Was a bank holiday but wasn't that busy. Had some demonstrations of medieval weaponry which was interesting although some of the volunteers seemed a bit frustrated if people didn't join in and this was quite noticeable. You could climb up most of the castle walls which gave some nice views. Overall... More

Visited while on holiday in Beaumaris. The castle has a nice gift shop where you can purchase food, souvenirs or decorations. The fares are reasonable and there are activities for children. The only problem was the staff. We visited on a bank holiday and there were demonstrations of various medieval clothing and tools however the demonstrators themselves were rude and... More

An excellent experience! The castle has lots to explore including a good walk of the walls. The railings and walk ways have been well thought out so that the surfaces are even and very safe to take little ones (2 and 5 yr old). There are also lots of passage ways in the walls which are well lit but also... More

Interesting to visit, especially if you combine with a trip to the court and the goal. The 3 combined make for a great day out.

This is an interesting castle, historically value is high, worth a visit, but needs a good day as its a ruin. Pricing not too bad.

Wear stoat footwear....lots of cobbles and deep short steps. Get the guide book and watch the film.....there is a lot of history and heritage to learn about but you will need to use your imagination. Still....its well worth a visit.
