We took our 2 dogs for a walk around the country park. The car park is chargeable but only a couple of pound for a few hours. There is a map in the tea garden area which shows 2 walk options, a 1/2 mile with guidance to allow half an hour and a mile and a 1/2, guidance to allow an hour. We did the longer walk and took about 45 mins but did walk at a reasonable pace with the dogs. We have 2 labradors who love water, so a couple of opportunities for them to get into the water, have a splash around and clean off kept them happy. The walking trail is clear and signage to other routes if you wanted to head off further, about 2.5miles to Cilcain. It was raining when we visited but most of the walk is slightly covered by the trees so didn't bother us too much. There is a large grassed area in the tea garden with well spaced picnic benches for you to enjoy some alfresco eating after a walk, aswell as the onsite dog friendly cafe with tables inside and out (closed Mondays) We Three Loggerheads pub is just across the road, serving food and drinks, with beer garden, dog friendly inside bar area and restaurant. …

Enjoyable visit and recommended outdoor place for a country walk. No complaints from us. Very scenic and nice to have peace and quiet.

A great place to walk, cycle, horse-ride and run. Well marked paths following the River Alyn. Amazing old trees and a beautiful view from the top of the cliffs. Parking is easy in the designated car park, and Caffi Florence within the park serves good food and coffee. Across the road in the old coaching inn is the pub/restaurant We Three Loggerheads. The food is great here as are the real ales.…
