My family and I go here regularly for a stroll. We absolutely love it.
9 times out of 10 we grab coffee and cake from the cafeteria (really good).
This is a genuine area of outstanding natural beauty and is a great place to have a family picnic.
It’s always super clean too!

Lovely country park. Well kept, great variety of walks and bonus little museum but for the water wheel. Pram and toddler friendly. Cafe is extortionately priced though. Can have proper food at the pub over the road for the same price

Cheap parking (£1 for 2 hours), marked trails and very clean. I'm not really sure what there is to .complain about. Plenty of families and dogs enjoying the fresh air.
Overflow car park is the easier one to park in and saves going round and round.

Would not go there agin!!
Went there no signal or nothing. It was cold, walked in room stains on the bed, food was cold not much choice.
As soon as I got into the bed at night started a cough where they had not been washed and all damp.

The country park itself is OK but the prices in the cafe are outrageous. £8.05 for an egg mayo butty? You're having a laugh.

The views are amazing whilst walking around Loggerhead without a care in the world. The nature and tranquility of the place makes it special.

We parked here to walk a circular route around Moel Famau. We visited the cafe, we had a delicious meal of toasted sandwich, bacon and Welsh brie, the bread was good quality and the side salad was not an afterthought, it had a pesto dressing (we asked), and plenty of different leaves. My tea was good and the teapot didn't dribble, and my husband who loves his coffee, said how well made it was.
We would definitely return and next time explore the park and shop.

We’ve been coming to these parts regularly over the past 5 years and have only just discovered this country park. What a find it has been. Different walks along the river, leading to Devils Gorge and the cliff top along decent pathways and well signposted. Suitable for all ages and those with poor mobility . Car parking is cheap at £1 for 2 hours. Facilities include cafe, ice cream parlour, gift shop and outdoor picnic area. Will definitely be visiting again to try one of the other routes next time.

Me and the dog visited Loggerheads on our way to our holiday destination of Ruthin and would highly recommend a visit. The site has a car park with the option of paying by phone, card or cash. There is a visitors centre and shop with lovely craft gifts. There is also a cafe serving food and drinks and an ice cream kiosk. You can even buy doggy ice cream, which my dog rated 10 out of 10! Seating and tables are available as well as a large grassy area where many people were soaking up the sun. The toilets are free and clean! We walked the shorter route through the woods and along the riverbank twice and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. I even spotted 3 squirrels! There were other dogs but, as none were running off-lead, it was a very pleasant experience.

I recently stayed in Ruthin for 5 days and went to Loggerheads twice during that time. First time we walked the short bottom route and second time the longer upper route. What a beautiful place. It's clean, well maintained and run and the walks are really pleasant, especially down along the river. Ice cream in the cafe is to die for. Would definitely return if I was in the area again.

Hi all I have been desperately seeking an elusive bird of prey, a Goshawk much larger than their relative Sparrowhawk was once hunted and will easily kill game bird's and hares etc if anyone can offer me any help I'd really appreciate it if Loggerheads country park or anywhere of a forest habitat in North Wales is recommended.
Many thanks

Is there an adventure park or activities for children? And is there any cost?
Yes there is: Abergele adventure trail, it’s amazing. It’s £8 per child with one free adult admission per child.

Hi there my parents have come up from London and I’m thinking about taking them for a walk around but is the river dry with all the hot weather recently??
Many thanks

I’m very sorry I couldn’t answer this in time and I know it’s probably no use to you but as the weather has been like this non stop it does mean that the river will be dried out.
