It was a cold, windy day, a bit chilly on the open hillsides- but we still had a great day and the views must be spectacular in summer. Learnt a lot about the animals and the conservation work the zoo does. Chatted to a lovely, enthusiastic keeper about the chimps. The vet and keepers spoke to us about the programme... More

Grandson on half term so once again looking for something to do with myself not having visited for a few years and after seeing the sky high prices of chester zoo thought we would give it a go at fifty quid for three adults and a child it puts a little hole in your wallet but it is over 50%... Came here today with the family and one child that has a wheelchair it is a great place to come as you are close to the animals and the rest of the family enjoyed it. It is a little hilly when pushing the wheelchair but if you don't mind the exercise it is great place to come as the wheelchair... More

So exited to go, but when i got there , i just felt sorry for the animals, they looked in poor condition and the lack of space for these animals was horrendous, they booked so sad and bored. ALL the animals i saw. Would not go back and would not recommend to anyone.

Family of four ticket was nearly £45. We went during February half term. This is extremely expensive for what you get. Some areas not ideal for a pram. Penguins and petting zoo are closed (due to government imposed). The biggest gripe I had was the enclosure space for some of the animals. I know zoo's can help with conservation of... More

Only a very small Zoo and very outdated but it has quite a lot of charm. The animals all look well cared for and the chimps are great fun. One of the chimps knows sign language and that makes for some interesting viewing. Great little Zoo for a day out.

A little on the pricey side for entrance especially with a large family but all in all a nice day was had by all, my granddaughter loved the penguins best .

Good way to spend a day, not too badly priced. There are seals, tigers and chimps there, but no major big animals like elephants, giraffe's or rhino's. Hilly and has steps so not great if you have a pram or disabled, as it can get very muddy on the wheels and is hard to push around with the steps. We... More

Had a great day out here. It is not big but what it has got is well presented. Staff were friendly. It was great to not feel any pressure, it was fairly quiet being October.

Took advantage of the special offer on Christmas Eve. Lovely place to visit with children. Lots of different animals to see, although. Always worth a visit
