Ancient woodland well looked after by the Council and a pleaseure to have on my doorstep. Decent network of footpaths, though quite steep in places.

But, you can also take in The View which takes in panoramic scenery to the N., W. and S., and up to Bryn Cadno which takes in panoramic scenery to the N., E. and S., returning to the Woodland Walk via Nant-y-Glyn Valley.

Took young children, one which had a bike. Not recommended for bikes unless confident rider as lots of mud and small rocks on some parts of path. Lovely walk along the stream. Children really enjoyed it. We came out by a childrens park so even more enjoyable for them

There are several walks highlighted on the sign as you enter the wood but directional signs are very poor. It seems a little neglected.

Super woods above Colwyn Bay with glimpses of views over the sea. Variety of trees and some wildlife. Really good for a round walk which is not too taxing. Afterwards, go up to the hill top, turn left and immediately right and take the 2nd on the left up to the top corner where there is a path up to Dog... More

This is a lovely little Woods, which our children really enjoyed. There are signs with different coloured arrows for different trails and a little stream which runs though the woods. We collected leave and acorns, and did some bark rubbings. We made a collage from the leaves we collected when we got home.

Pwllycrochan woods separate Colwyn Bay from Upper Colwyn Bay as you climb from Colwyn Bay towards the Welsh Mountain Zoo. It is pleasant to stroll on the footpaths in the dense predominantly deciduous woodland.

Pwllycrochan Woods separates the town from the housing estate at the top of the hill behind the town centre. It is within walking distance of the other Colwyn Bay attractions of the beach, Eirias Park, the town centre, the zoo, and the Pen Y Bryn pub, though you have to be pretty fit to do them all on foot in...
