We took our grandchildren to see the Peabody ducks make their way to the lobby pool, an annual event around Christmas and it was beautiful as always. The lobby was packed with out of towners and decorated beautifully. Everyone has a good time watching the...More

We heard about the Peabody Ducks, so we visited the hotel to see them. First we took the elevator up to the Duck Palace. This is where they live when not marching down to the lobby. Just prior to the ducks coming down the elevator,...More

You wait 20-30 minutes in a lobby to watch the ducks walk the red carpet to the hotel. I won’t say not to experience it because it is history that began in the 1930s but I will say since I’ve experienced it wants I don’t...More

Go early, get a cup of coffee in the lobby and wait for the show. If you want the best view stand at the roped off area. Well worth the trip there and don't forget to go to the top of the hotel and see...More

Just go and see the ducks - so sweet. Very funny when one escaped and went for a wander around. And go and visit the Duck Palace on the roof.

We went to the Peabody just to see those ducks and they were the cutest things running off the elevator to the water to swm in the hotel lobby. It is Christmastime and the hotel had professional carrolers singing Christmas melodies in the lobby. The...More

While in Memphis, you must see the matching of the ducks at the Peabody Hotel. Get a seat early in the lobby for the 11:30 or 5:00 Dick Walk.

My 9 and 12 yo really liked the ducks, but unless you got there really early, it was hard to find a viewing spot. They should reserve a section for children only.

I believe it is free. We didn't see them march, but walked right into the hotel lobby, saw them swimming in the fountain, spoke with the duck master, and took the elevator up to the duck palace, which was really just going... More

This question has been answered...the ducks arrive at 1100 every morning...and depart at 1700. Suggest you get to the hotel early...say 9-10...have a coffee and nudge into just outside the lifts. Be prepared to be jostled... More
