The museum and outdoor areas are neat if you're into the history of the river and how important it has been/continues to be to the region. They also sometimes do free arts and crafts for kids and splashing around in the river model is fun...More

Good ole mud island! In years past it was wonderful! I mean it was 89% island 11% mud. Now it’s like 50/50. Still a good time jut way more mud then I remember.

Fascinating to scale model of the Mississippi river. So much fun for kids in the summer. The park is nice also. Great river views and there is a fair river museum on the premises.

this is one of the best places to experience the Mississippi river up close and personal. The park is along side the bank of the river.

The river running through the walk way was very neat. My kids enjoyed seeing that and sticking their feet in the water. We didn’t think there were enough signs leading you to the museum. It seemed like everything was hard to find. It was also...More

We checked this place out while we were waiting for the train. It is really cool and the park has lots of areas to walk and take in all the views.

I visit here many times and there is something special about this place. Very historic and offers a great view of the Mississippi River.

Mud Island is a collection of exhibits about the Mississippi River and the history of those living along its banks. The time period covers Native Americans through the 40's. The museum has some interesting displays showing the lifestyle, tools, goods and services at each period....More

The place a bit run down but it was a great half a day out on our first day in Memphis, it is a must go place when you in town.

you could spend as little as an hour up to half a day there, depending on how much you want to explore.
