Definitely one of those hotels with local character. I travel so much for business and am typically in the big chains. This place has all the amenities of the big chains but THE CHARM is just amazing. The ducks are a great show and the...More

We got to the hotel about 30 minutes before the 5:00 duck time and hotel lobby sitting area was full. There were certain areas where you can stand and wait, no big deal, grabbed a drink at the bar and a good viewing spot. The...More

Wow! The brunch served at the Peabody is second to none! Everything breakfast, lunch, and dinner served first class. The hand-carved prime rib is worth the trip by itself. Make sure you have a reservation!

I was late in getting to the hotel in order to get a good vantage point so didn't get to see the ducks on the red carpet. Go plenty early and get a good spot in the mezzanine overlooking the fountain with no obstructions. I...More

Whatever you do at this Hotel, you must see the Peabody Ducks and visit their rooftop abode and furnishings. Have stayed here twice of late and it's great!!

Be sure to see ducks! Also you can do high tea or just enjoy a dessert or drink in the lobby. Well worth it just to look about!

Southern charm at it's best. Both quaint and elegant there is something for everyone. Staff is professional and friendly. Problems are quickly resolved. Catch the ducks!

Recently stayed at The Peabody and enjoyed the daily "duck march". The Duckmaster was very knowledgeable of the hotel and Memphis. It was really sweet that they had all the children sit by the red carpet to watch the ducks enter and leave the elevator.

My grandkids loved the ducks. Said it was the best part of the weekend trip to Memphis.... Well, the grandson like BBQ...alot. Worth the trip to the Peabody. If you like desserts...those are great too according to my wife.

One more question, is there any breakfast cafe's right near the hotel? Or has anyone booked the bed and breakfast deal? Normally I would book the breakfast at the hotel, but since this is a city full of great places to eat, I'm thinking I need some feedback on this. Thanks!

You have to go to Gibson's donuts in Memphis if you get a chance and get the bacon maple donut. It is almost life changing. There is always a line, but it moves quickly. Only one Gibson's, and it is worth visiting.

Yes. Downtown is right out the door of the Peabody and walking is easy to everything, if you can tolerate consistent panhandling.
