Sun Studio - The place where an 18 year old Elvis Presley recorded his first song. It’s well-known in the music industry as "The Birthplace of Rock 'N' Roll" and the most famous recording studio in the world. Opened by rock pioneer Sam Phillips in 1950, this national Historic Landmark is where superstar musicians like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Howlin' Wolf, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and countless others started their recording careers. Today, Sun Studio still serves as a recording studio in the evenings while hosting public tours during the daytime hours.

Nothing to see here unless you're a true fan of old country music and (quite nice) generic tee shirts. Wouldn't visit again.

While visiting Memphis you must take in a visit to sun studios where it all began for Elvis 🕺 very cheap only $14, and very interesting. Best part of this is you get to hold the exact microphone Elvis held when he made his recordings

The coffee shop is on the ground floor and the actual studio can be accessed thru a a door from the outside. The office and memorabilia are on an upper floor which probably is not wheelchair accessible.

If they enjoy music and museums, yes. I think small children aren't allowed but don't know age limit. They would enjoy a milkshake in the lobby before the your or as incentive after!
