Great museum

Not sure if we went at a slow time but we were almost the only ones there. It was a great tour, I wish we could've spent more time but we were a little short on time.

They opened up especially for our escorted tour. We where limited in time, so kind of rushed through it and there was so much to see and hear. So take your time if you go!

If this place were anywhere but Memphis, it would be a must see for any music lover. The place is great, but it just doesn't hold up to many of the other music themed attractions of Memphis. If you want to learn about the history american music, check this place out.

Our family of 4 were not well versed in the subject, and we were not sure what to expect. The video in the beginning provides a very nice overview, and the museum is fun and informative.

We of course had to include this in our Memphis visit since this trip was all about music. Conveniently across the street from where we were staying it is a great look at music history. Lots of music to listen to along the way. Great artifacts. After Graceland and Sun Studios, a great compliment to the rest of our trip.... More

I think we spent around 2.5 hours in this museum, but could easily have made it a longer visit. This museum goes beyond Elvis, it really showed everyone involved in the creation of rock n' roll. They had a few spots where you could just stop and listen to the music and really submerge yourself in the time. Really great... More

If you love rock & roll and want to know how it was born, developed and became a driving force in American culture, this is the place to go. It is full of history and long-forgotten facts and artifacts. Any student or fan of music will totally enjoy this attraction.

One of the highlights of our 3 day visit! A short video, then you're off at your own pace with headphones and small phone size keypad to enter numbers you see on exhibits you'd like to learn about or hear songs. We spent 3 hours and enjoyed every minute!

This self paced tour is pretty good. You use headphones to access the different exhibits and can even hear entire songs of that era. Very informative look at the early days of Memphis music wise.
