- Todd SHendersonville, Tennessee22 contributionsGreat experience but avoid the deli.Great experience and history about the house. Just be sure to eat something before you go to avoid the deli (you will be spending a few hours there). The people at the deli were rude and noisy and always arguing with each other. The sausage and egg croissant was both burnt and cold. I couldn’t believe that was possible but the croissant was black and the sausage and egg was frozen and ended up throwing away.Visited December 2022Travelled with familyWritten 21 December 2022
- Jack MillerNew Orleans, Louisiana341 contributionsWaited for 2 hours to get in the tour bus. Not funPoorly arranged. Waited for two hours to get in a bus. 9:30 reservation. The tour bus was available at 11:30. They really wanted to sell VIP tour. So if you don’t pay up, you wait forever. Do not visit.Visited December 2022Travelled with familyWritten 24 December 2022
- mrspiernaNapa, California19 contributionsA Memphis MustLots to see and soak in. Pretty interesting. The price of admission will set you back but you can't go to Memphis without going to Graceland. I don't think I would do a repeat visit but I have no regrets having seen it once. I learned so much more about Elvis and his life then I ever knew growing up. As a child for the late 40's, I could relate to so much of the information. Some of it was very sad.Visited December 2022Written 26 December 2022
- Emily MUnited States1,328 contributionsGot to see the outside and memorial gardenWe didn't want to spend that much to see Graceland, so we took advantage of the free 7AM-8AM grounds opening. There was an adequate amount of parking right outside the gate, as everyone generally was in and out in about ten minutes. We were happy to see the house and pool from outside, as well as the memorial garden/gravesite. We were happy to see Graceland as we did. Recommend if you're not a huge Elvis fan and don't want to pay the high admission fee!Visited August 2022Written 26 December 2022
- 23chrisaBrenham, Texas86 contributionsAwful directions prior to tour. Very disappointed. The house tour itself was fine. The new exhibits on Elvis’ life were WONDERFUL! The airplanes were okay- a little underwhelming. The reason for my three star review is for the lack of organization and signage upon arrival. I talked to one of the employees (who appeared as a manager of sorts) about the improvements in the process that are desperately needed prior to starting the tour. We arrived fifteen minutes prior to our tour time, as noted on the tickets. However upon walking into the entrance, you have no idea where to go. The signage is AWFUL. There is a huge line running through the center of the ticket area, but no signs to tell you what the line is for. I asked a person at the customer service where to go, and he pointed at the end of the massive line running through the center. I go to the massive line only to be told that I shouldn’t line up because they were running late. I was supposed to go walk around outside and see those exhibits. Outside the lady told me to go over to the airplanes because the exhibits ours take too long. So we head to the airplanes and then back to the ginormous line- where we were at the end of our tour group. No one else had been asked to walk around outside for twenty minutes. We waited in this massive line for what felt like forever only to be shuffled past the pre-tour show and onto a bus. When we actually got to the mansion, we were told to take a picture after the tour because they were so backed up. The tour itself was fine. The house smells musty and made me sneeze, but that is expected. It is an older home. But the Graceland tour guides need to take notes from Disney on how they move people through quickly and efficiently. The whole process is awful and I have no desire to return.Visited December 2022Travelled with familyWritten 27 December 2022
- petraso1Idaho Falls, Idaho254 contributionsIt could be great but poorly run.The biggest issue with Graceland is the bus service to the mansion. We waited for about an hour 1 /2 for transportation back and forth to the mansion. The bus service is slow, and they seem to run empty often while people wait. If I went again, I would skip the mansion. We stood in a line that was all the way back to the garden. Buses drove buy without picking up anyone. Finally a security person got on the radio and demanded some buses get up to the house. 5 buses came out of nowhere to transport us and a very long line of visitors. The cars and the Elvis, the entertainer, were the best part of the tour. There is lots of good memorabilia, and it is done pretty well. It isn't a cheap tour at $77.00 you would expect a better organized attraction. But like much in Memphis, it's best days are behind it.Visited December 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 December 2022
- David WTulsa, Oklahoma611 contributionsDisappointed and SurprisedWow...not what I expected. Our family group of six visited Graceland this past week. I had been told that the Graceland Manson was small. It is, but the area available to the public is quite large. The welcoming video was ok. The lines for every function were very poorly managed, and created a lot of tiresome "down time." The standing in line took more than 1/2 of our time "on property." The actual tour of the Graceland homestead was good, and the use of the IPad for information was quite good. The airplane tour was interesting. The viewing of Elvis' cars, stage clothes, awards, stage clothes of "other stars," the many gift shops, etc in a strip center motif was ok. My favorite "thing" was lunch at Vernon's Bar BQ. The food was very good! The $80 entrance fee is ridiculous and unwarranted. No, I would never visit Graceland again.Visited December 2022Written 1 January 2023
- Maren R138 contributionsExpensive day in linesI will start by saying I was warned but I still had to see it. I bought a 3pm ticket online, arrived around 2:30 and ended up finally after line, after line, after line, after line, around 4:45 at Graceland. Got a tablet and some headphones. Wandered around the house and grounds for awhile. I did enjoy not being rushed through anything. Took the shuttle back to the visitor center and roamed freely again. I honestly had planned my day thinking I would be in and out in about 2 hours. I left at 6:30 pm. I can now say I did it and never have to do it again. I wasn't really disappointed in the sights and memorabilia. Just super unhappy I spent half my day in lines and skipped other Memphis items. I feel like it's something you have to see once. Maybe hit it right away in the morning or last tour of the day?Visited January 2023Travelled soloWritten 2 January 2023
- rbhatt03Dallas, Texas16 contributionsGood experience, just some things to keep in mindBooked a time slot the Elvis Experience tour about a week ahead of time. I ended up needing to change the date and was able to call the ticket office to talk with someone and do that. For the actual day of, here are some things I didn't know at the time that I wish I had known. I was confused at what point there would be a shuttle once we parked. Based on other review and articles I had the impression it was like an airport park and ride where you parked your car and had to stand outside waiting for a shuttle to come by. Actually, once you park, you go inside the main building. Then you wait for the specific tour time sign ( a small one that is hard to see except up close). There may already be a long line of people. Ask which tour/time they are on. A lot of people actually were in line earlier than their slot, but we had no choice but to jump in the back of the line. Advice is to get there early and get in line for your slot as soon as you can. At that point, they will announce that slot's line can go and they then scan your tickets and lead you into the movie room. The earlier you get into the movie room, the sooner you leave that room to head outside for the shuttle, which is another long line. So find a spot in the movie room toward the far side so you can be one of the first to exit and then be in line for the shuttle sooner. We were polite and let others go ahead and then realized we now were waiting at the back of the shuttle line, behind others who had later times than we did. No one on the staff is checking this kind of stuff, so you're on your own to be vigilant. While waiting in line for the shuttle, they hand our headphones and then tablets. This is the guided audio for the mansion tour. We had our six year old with us and they initially said he doesn't get headphones because they thought he was too young, but we paid for his ticket so we made sure to pester them until they gave us a pair for him. Ended up just being a headache since the headphones barely fit and a six year old isn't interested in the audio tour. From the initial lining up to scanning our ticket to watching the movie to finally getting on the shuttle to take us to the mansion across the street to start the tour, it took about an hour and a half - longer than the time we actually spent walking around the mansion. After we got back, we saw the planes, cars, and walked around the artifacts museum. This was more informative than the mansion tour and we enjoyed it. So to sum up, book your tour slot ahead of time, but you can call and change it if there are available times. Arrive early and get in the line so you can eventually get on the shuttle faster. Take time to go through the museum of artifacts. Taking the young child wasn't ideal since he didn't care, but we made it work.Visited December 2022Written 3 January 2023
- Secret_ReviewJebel Ali, United Arab Emirates144 contributionsStaff poor/ruined experienceStaff disorganised and always on their phones. Replace them and set some rules/guidelines. The trip is tarnished by poor service. This is not a cheap entrance fee so stop ripping customers off and have some pride in your job. Memorable partly for the wrong reasons.Visited December 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 January 2023

Graceland is not to be missed if you are:
A. An Elvis Fan
B. A student of Rock N Roll.
C. Wanting to step back in time
Wonderful museum that thoughtfully tells the story of an American Icon. All of the employees are amazing and passionate about their jobs. One suggestion I have - invest in the planes. They’ve definitely lost their glory.

We paid for the audio tour online prior to going. When you get there, there are quite a few museums/displays you can walk through. They were all great and interesting. The room with all his outfits, wow! You can also see his cars, and his plane (be sure to get the tour that includes those). You take a shuttle to the house and it’s all self paced when you get there. The audio tour is great! His house is amazing and I loved seeing the decor. They are buried in the garden, which is a beautiful area. I would say an hour to and hour and a half is good for the house tour. The museums maybe 2 hours. It’s a fun day!

I’m a massive fan of Elvis I have been since I was tiny lol my husband not so, but this tour is for all anyone that’s a fan or not it’s definitely worth a visit while
In Memphis, its value for money, the place its self is like a theme park now when you arrive you get your vip badge and earphone to listen to the tour guide, there are buses to a froing from diffrent parts of Graceland and the ticket office back again to where his suits and home goods are , food was lovely in verons cafe, it came with the voucher I had chicken and potato and a cheese cake for a dessert, it was a wet misrable day, but graceland is a must, it’s a wonderful bright and breezy experience, very humbling when you go to Elvis family plot, and it also
Includes a non guided tour to the Lisa Maria, I loved every min of this tour and I spent a full day there from 1pm till 5.30,

We did the Ultimate VIP Tour. Shelia was our tour guide, she is absolutely AMAZING!!! Great storyteller & she knows her facts! You get a lot of behind the scenes experience. Wish for the money you pay for the tour being small & personal that the other tours would not be able to intertwine into your group. At the mansion people doing their own thing would just jump in our group & follow. I’m sure with that many people visiting it’s hard to control, but just frustrating.
Would have given our experience 5 stars except the workers at the restaurant, Vernon’s , were horrible. You could tell they did not want to be there. Very rude serving food & at the register.
Definitely recommend visiting Graceland in December! Decorations were beautiful & Elvis Christmas music everywhere!!

Third and Last time visit, just needed to go at Christmas , treated myself to the private guided tour. We were first in but sadly did not get a chance to have my picture taken by the door 😢. Jon was our guide and was a great guide but he was always walking forward and talking and being a bit hard of hearing could never tell what he was saying! We were allowed to hold an item that belonged to
Elvis and this was his police badge handed to him by Richard Nixon, was a little let down by the tin cupboard that held these items to be honest, the items that we saw, wasn’t sure how I should feel, how did we really know these were owned by him?
Lunch that was included, don’t bother, the chicken legs would’ve broken a window, the ONE rib and the braised beef were old!
Favourite part were his jumpsuits and how they are presented.
Finally it was the ultimate tour but this page won’t let me chose it!

I had never been to Graceland before our anniversary trip in 12/2023. I told my husband this was one of my favorite trips. Graceland mansion was absolutely beautiful, but there are so many more exhibits, shops, and restaurants too! We spent all day there and could’ve stayed longer. I loved it. All the exhibits were awesome. Our food was great and there were so many souvenirs in the shops for us to take home. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the Memphis area!

Visiting Graceland is a must for anyone who loves music and Elvis. It is the experience of a lifetime. You need at least 2 full days to experience everything this great site has to offer. The Tour guide (John) was a very kind and full of knowledge about the King. He answered all questions to the T. Especially all the questions I had asked. The food on location (Vernons) was amazing too.

So much memorabilia chronicling the life of one person. A truly remarkable exhibition, although the quallity of the headsets was disappointing. I tried on several pairs before I found one that worked, and even that one turned out to have an intermittently faulty connection. Nevertheless, I was impressed on the whole.
The tour was informative, interesting and offered a real insight into Elvis' life. Everything has been beautifully preserved too. I'm sure any die hard Elvis fan would love it.

They did have a lovely large reception area but I couldn't say if it included lockers or luggage storage. You definitely won't be able to take your luggage on the tour. I would recommend you contact them direct to avoid any disappointment. Hope you get there. Enjoy.

We were advised not to go walking around on your own. There is no where to park close by at present as road works next to Graceland. Everything I have read says The meditation garden is open to everyone before the tours. Best advice wouls be to contact Graceland directly and asked

If you purchase a VIP tour, you won't be given your badge until 15 minutes before the tour departs directly, by shuttle bus, to the mansion and then you tour the remainder of the grounds afterwards.

We’re staying at the guest house for Elvis week. Can someone give me an idea of what time we need to queue up for the candlelight vigil and approx what time does it go on til please
It shows no available tickets online until after 2 pm. If we walk up, will we be able to do a tour or nothing truly available until after 2? We are leaving around 1 so unfortunately afternoon will not work.

I don’t know, but I would bet there will be. You enter the gates ( everything is on one side of the street, apart from the house), and without a ticket there are a few eateries and shops.
Then you go in a large building with at least one restaurant and gift shop and rest rooms. You can do this without a ticket. And even if you buy online, you go to the booth to swap your barcode for a paper ticket.

Yes! Also, look around for discounts. I just had the basic ticket which got me into the mansion, the airplanes, the car museum, the “inspired by Elvis” section. I missed the Lisa Marie tribute and all the restaurants and shops except one each. Vernon’s was good food, and it’s outside the ticketing area.
