We struggled with every detail from organizing the meals with outside catering, organizing music, conservation walks, golf course, riding, a dinner/dance, pipers, the works, nothing was firm or satisfactory. The astronomical cost of a 40 hour weekend at over $45,000 made it a ridiculous waste...More

What a lovely day. Building is beautiful. Excellent tour guide. Stopped off in the restaurant for lunch. Scotch broth soup was excellent. Cullen skink soup was yummy too. Gardens are beautiful although hot house was closed.

Beautiful grounds, a stunning building, and the interior is absolutely fascinating and rich in furniture and history. Definitely worth booking on one of the guided tours though as you'd miss so much if you didn't. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

Guided tour is great to do if you get a chance. Everything is of great quality and is pricey. The house is best visited on a sunny day.

every 15 minutes or so. although a taxi is very reasonable. There is a Mini bus takes you within the grounds and is included in the admission fee.
