Beautiful clean beach . Wee hidden gem . A wee walk from main road . Park at the Bothy

Gorgeous for day out. Flat sands would appear very safe .

Worth the wander

We walked from Kames on the road which took a good 2 hours. From the bothy cafe on the road it took us 20 minutes to get to the beach. The beach was beautiful with stunning views. The path is well trodden and was very muddy so you will need boots/wellies and be sure of your footing when walking. We walked back to Kames via Mullhouse so all in all did a 12 mile walk with spectacular views.

A hidden gem. Spectacular beach overlooking Isle of Arran. A 15 minute walk to get to the beach, boggy in places. No facilities at the beach but at the beginning of the walk, You can get a lovely cup of tea and home made cakes at The Bothy .

Had a beautiful afternoon here today, limited parking on the side of the road which can be tricky if you have a big car - no toilets - long walk if you are not fit and able - but if you are it’s well worth a visit. Clean, tidy, white, natural sandy beach.

We were lucky to have great weather when we visited but even then there were few people around.

Amazing beach

Park on the verge near the farm and bothy. Narrow road so take care. Sandwiches, coffees, etc from the bothy. A good 15 minute walk through mixed terrain to the beach. I would wear shoes, wellies or boots.... wondered if it was actually the path at one point as I thought surely it can’t be this way.... boggy in parts as it rained heavily last week... when you get to the beach it’s amazing... views to die for and the beach is stunning.... no facilities so remember this if you need the loo etc...

A relaxing day by the bay
Aug 2020 • Couples
It was quiet ideal for a dog running around the sea water was calm just don't stand for too long on the sandy patches in between the sea and the main part of the bay especially if your in between two parts of sea water as the sand quickly disappears🙄

Beautiful beach with a LONG walk to get there
Mar 2019
A beautiful spot that Is very hidden, with limited parking, and a very long walk to the beach. Visited on a quiet warm spring day and saw only a handful of other walkers, only 2 people on the beach. There is limited parking on a verge of the road near the path to walk to the Beach, the walk for us was about 45 mins to get to the beach, it’s a dirt path through grassland with changing scenery mostly flat, and some boggy spots so best to take wellies. Also check tide times as beach is ideal at low tide as it goes far out, great for dogs at low tide.
