Excellent trip up into the ladder hills. David was very informative and thankfully managed to spot the Hare well before we did! We also saw grouse and a variety of other birds. Bit of a trek up the hill but well worth it! If we're back in the area we'll definitely be booking onto one of the other trips.

This was without a doubt the best thing to do whilst visiting the highlands. David is super nice and knows everything about the flora and fauna of the Highlands. He is very good in transferring information about the wildlife. He also has eagle eyes because he spots something from a very large distance. We did not have binoculars with us... More

We had already been out with David twice and once again this trip ticked all the boxes. I was unwell on the date planned so we re-arranged and found we were the only two booked that afternoon. Given that there were only two of us and it was pouring with rain we would have understood if he had cancelled. However,... More

Saw lots of red grouse which was expected, but also lucky to see a stoat with a dead rabbit, black grouse and a short geared owl. David the driver guide gave lots of info on the flora, fauna and geology (and supplied coffee and shortbread!) The experience was helped by glorious weather.

You have to be a bit of an early bird if you want to witness the Black Grouse battle it out on their leking grounds! So, at the ungodly hour of 4.30am, I gave up the duvet in exchange for a Landrover expedition deep into the Ladder Hills to experience first hand this unique natural phenomenon! Take my word for... The tour was very interesting and our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable. We also enjoyed a few drams of local Scotch that we would not have had the chance to try otherwise. Do be prepared - the tour was about 4 hours in length with no facilities.

Fantastic, our wonderful tourguide David takes his time to let you explore the flora and fauna. We have seen a lot of red deer and roe deer. David knows every 'hotspot'. The trip started at 2:30 and got back home at 7:30. The price of £35 was well worth it.

Our guide and driver, David, was very knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna in the area. We had about three and a half hours of off-road fun. We even had a cup of either tea or coffee stop and some shortbread biscuits at the best view on the trip. I would recommend that everyone tries this at least once... More

David, many thanks for such a fascinating and enjoyable safari. David has so much knowledge of the flora and fauna and animals as well as historical facts. Nothing is too much trouble and he will always stop if you see something or need time to take photos. A cup of tea and shortbread at the summit was a nice surprise... More
