The Staffin Slipway Beach (IV519JT), is one of those hidden gems which is still not very popular with the tourists. You can straight away feel the Nordic spirit in the area and with some luck you may find some more dinosaur footprints on the ground....More

Our tour guide saw it was low tide and pulled over to show us the dinosaur prints, which I had never heard about. I'm not sure I would have spotted it if he didn't point it out but once he did then I could see...More

The Dinosaur footprints are quite tricky to spot but once you have found one, it is easy to see others. You do not have to go to far from the shore's edge before the low lying rock beds which are swept by the incoming tide...More

Unfortunately we weren’t able to locate the dinosaur footprints even using the map. Even so we enjoyed our visit.

Apparently there are a few footprints on this beach and there is a map to show you where to look. The footprint is actually roughly at the bottom of a ramp as you walk down to the beach and about 10 footsteps on to the...More

We visited at low tide on a foggy, rainy day, and the weather just added to the moodiness of the beach. The sign in the carpark gives good directions on how to find the prints.

A lovely place for kids to play and see the sea. The footprints are average and I’m not sure it’s easy to find them all. But the beach itself and the view are superb.

Michelle, your question is a little difficult to understand. The footprints may be covered with sand or seaweed or the tide. The time of day has nothing to do with being able to see them unless you are thinking of the... More
