This is a charming harbour and town. It is the only major centre on Skye, so it a great place to replenish provisions and gas up the car. Really pretty harbour, offering great views of the surrounding cliffs.

Here at the harbour, you can get a great view of the colorful buildings along the wharf - makes for great photos at any time. Stroll along the beach and look for sea glass and broken pottery - a touch of history when you pick...More

A very picturesque place well worth the walk to investigate. Also, don't forget to go up the road at the end of town t get a really great view from above. Probably the best place for a great picture.

We overnighted in Portree and enjoyed the harbour frontage as a real local attraction. Both picturesque and colourful.

We stopped by here and ate fish and chips, walked around taking photos and had pastry at a bakery. Nice little town to explore and take photos.

Unfortunately it was raining but didn't stop us exploring this pretty little village. The main attraction is the colored buildings seen in the picture. Very cute place. Excellent shot of coloured buildings from over the bay.

Portree is simply lovely. A wonder around the harbor and the town will enthrall the visitor and provide great photo opportunities. Special call out to the Portree post office and Jax the dog who is friendly and official stamp licker.

I think the excursions take you to the most famous (popular) sights of Skye - like Old Man of Storr, or Fairie Glen, or Fairy Pool, or Neist Point, etc. I am not sure how accessible these will be from the ship. Most of... More
