Only visited to get 4G and because we had to catch the ferry. Plus it's the only place on the island with shops!

This is an interesting place to wander around but it's certainly not set up as a visitor attraction - it's a working port and ferry terminal. The shops and places to eat are scattered around the back streets but are no great shakes. The evenings...More

We took the local transport and really enjoyed the trip to Callanish. The bus took us to many villages outside of Stornoway giving us many views of the Island.

Stornoway harbour is unspoilt even though it is visited by large ferries - and, i think, the occasional cruise ship. Take time to stroll around - and enjoy the atmosphere and fresh air

We spent a good hour sitting on the quay side. It was quiet and tranquil. The yachts made for a great backdrop

Stornoway Harbour was exceptionally tidy and surrounded by a good selection of independent shops. Highly recommend visiting the Blue Lobster (new cafe).

I was so pleased to finally arrive on the island. All my life I've wanted to visit the outer Hebrides. The harbour is in Center of town. Drive off the ferry and you're in town. Very convenient.
