Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed in Port Charlotte on the banks of Loch Indaal. The light & shade were amazing in any weather. Very unspoiled natural space.

We drove alongside this large body of water with some great beaches which are easy to access. The water is very clear and a great colour. Many photographic opportunities along the road.

Loch Indaal is a large area with diverse coastal areas. There are some lovely beaches and much of the coastal strip is easily accessed. The water seems quite sheltered and protected so may be good for canoeing and similar. Quite a lot of birdlife

Loch Indaal is the big body of water that separates the south-west of the island from the south-east. It has lovely beaches, and provides an excellent view from many spots when you drive from Port Charlotte to Bowmore (and beyond). We stayed in an AirBnB overlooking the water in Port Charlotte, and really enjoyed loved the feeling of being right on the water. I would love to return in summer one year, as I think the shore would be even more gorgeous.
