Our second distillery visit, with us opting of the basic tour as we both knew nothing about Glenmorangie and their whiskeys. Very good and knowledgeable guides answered all types of questions from the simple beginner to the more seasoned distillery tour experts. We toured the site from arrival of the grain to the warehouse and its fully filled barrels. Then... More

As one of the top Single Malt brands Glenmorangie are a major player and the size of the operation you see is testament to how quality and consistency has made the 16 Men if Tain a phenomenon. Located on the A9 on the north edge of Tain, to the right between the road and the Dornoch Firth. That doesn’t directly... More

I'm a big Glenmorangie fan. I was very excited to visit. We did the Signet Experience tour. The tour was really good. We got to try wash. The stills are the tallest in the industry which was fun to see. We saw all parts of the process and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The tasting was a little disappointing.... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour we went on. Anna, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I was also very impressed with the amount of conservation work we heard about. The scents of the distillery in different rooms were delicious!

We visited Glenmorangie Distillery yesterday. It is a beautiful setting and the grounds are quite pretty. By the entrance a stream runs down and spillway past a manicured pond. We did not take the tour as we have visited about 15 distilleries over our past 3 trips. We did go to the tasting room. You can taste about 8 different... More

This was my 21st distillery tour and certainly not the best of them. It all seemed just a little hurried like we were keeping the staff from something more important. A real shame as it is a distillery with some differences. Our guide knew her stuff but just seemed to be in a rush through the whole tour.

Be sure to book your tour in advance. We stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon thinking it would be quiet since this is a little further north than the rest of the whisky trail but the tours were all booked for the entire day and most of the next day. There are A LOT of coachies/tour buses of people that... More
