We took in the maze as part of a walk up to the top of Knockfarrel. An interesting insight into the different stones from different areas of the highlands.

I expected quite more looking at pictures from the internet, on site they have actually removed all tress that were next to the maze, God knows why, plus it's not like a maze, it's just a circle with round directions leading you to the centre...More

My trip was with 4 kids under 7. The walk from the village up to the touchstone maze was very steep for the kids. Once the kids were there they had fun in the touchstone maze for about 20 mins. Stones are from all areas...More

Been there, it's nothing special apart the view, but lots of trees were cut, I don't know why. It's good to move out of the village and make some cardio and enjoy outdoors.

The walk to get there is good, but the "maze" itself is a bit of a let down to be honest. It tries to educate you about the history of Scotland through the various types of rocks that the country is made of.

Very interesting maze with information on different stones from different areas. Along with a scenic walk in blackmuir woods. Delightful

Since the trees were cleared in the vicinity of the maze-stone, the light does show their different characters in various colours etc. The walk it's self is very pleasant and we walked all along the cat's back to Knockfarrell the dog enjoyed it too.
