One of the most breathtaking drives for scenery. But be forewarned, even if you don't like single track roads (there are plenty of pull out places to squeeze by oncoming cars) or blind curves or steep hills and decent, force yourself to make the drive...More

If you are in the area put this to the top of your list. You will not regret it. One of the most breathtaking drives in Scotland. Unbelievable.

One of the best motorbiking roads in the country. Goes from sea level to 2000 feet in a short space. Can get busy though so try on off peak hours. If you see a camper, try and avoid.

Wow, don't even think about it if you're towing a caravan, even though there is a caravan site over the hill in Applecross. Steep and hair pin bended this road is a challenge. But if you manage it up to the top you are treated...More

Sheildaig is lovely and has a good pub and restaurant. Applecross is lovely too but I think its not a good base, unless you like the hairy drive on a regular basis! We stayed in a lodge in Achintraid, just outside of Kishorn... More
