Experience Scotland's Oldest Working Distillery Recently named Whisky Visitor Attraction of the Year, Scotland's oldest working distillery offers a truly unique and authentic experience to visitors. Set in the heart of Perthshire, the distillery is only an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh.  Making whisky by hand and by heart since 1775, visitors will experience the traditional handmade distilling processes that have been used to craft the whiskies at Glenturret Distillery for generations. Discover how the distillery's Glenturret single malt is carefully blended with other grain and malt whiskies to create the UK's No.1 whisky, The Famous Grouse.  Choose from a range of tour experiences. Sample a selection of fine whiskies in our Tasting Experience, enjoy exclusive entry to our bonded warehouses in the Warehouse Experience and blend your own whisky during an in-depth Blending Experience.  Taste our best in the newly launched Wilde Thyme at Glenturret cafe and restaurant where you will savour mouth-watering dishes created using local, seasonal ingredients including Strathearn Pie, a special dish created in honour of the recent Royal Visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.  And be sure to visit our unique and welcoming shop. We stock a full range of superb single malts and blended whiskies including distillery exclusives such as the Bottle Your Own Glenturret single malt which you can bottle straight from the cask. Whether you are looking for a unique distillery tour, a very special warehouse experience, or even the opportunity to blend your own whisky, Glenturret is the only distillery in Scotland able to offer a truly authentic, traditional whisky making experience.

I was able to go on one of today's distillery tours and had a very pleasant experience. After the tour I was able to sample a few more whiskeys in the shop before purchasing a bottle. The only critique I had is that the tour...More

The distillery tour is nice but the warehouse tour is well worth the extra money. You taste much better whisky and have a personal experience. No photos allowed on tours.

The Famous Grouse Experience is located at the lovely little Glenturret Distillery in Crieff - still using the old methods and putting out small batches of scotch whisky that feed the Famous Grouse blend. It was a great tour on a very intimate scale.

Lindsey was great (sorry if misspell), the tour is really interesting and easy to understand (even if you're not a fluent english speaker), the place is really beautiful, nice testing but a bit short! (Sandwiches at the café are a bit expensive though ;) )

Enjoyed a very pleasant tour here. Guide was excellent, explaining the whole process finishing off with an informative tasting in the restaurant. Staff all pleasant and there was a reasonable range of food available for lunch. Recommended.

The Famous Grouse distillery is not the same as Tullibardine, which is between Gleneagles and Muthill. To find the Famous Grouse distillery, make for Crieff then take the road out of Crieff towards Comrie. The FG is... More
Hi I will be in Edinburgh 26th evening and returning back to London on the 28th of September. I have the 27th Sunday free to do a distillery tour and the 2 choices were the Famous Grouse & Tullibardine Distillery. Trying to figure out best way to do this tour. Should I take the train from Edinburgh to Perth and then take cabs to the two distilleries or is there a better way to travel to these two locations for a tour? Are there tour guides at the Perth train station or should I look up tour guides in Edinburgh that will take me to the two places? Obviously I don't want to spend a lot of money on touring these two places, just the optimum way to do the tour? It will be 2 of us doing this tour?
