After staying in Aberfeldy for the night we saw the signs for this garden and decided to investigate. So glad we did. A bit off the beaten track but well worth the detour. The garden is divided into sections and a guide leaflet explains more about the plants and trees in each section. The Trilliums and Hellebores were looking good... More

We all hoped to see red squirrels during our time in the Aberfeldy area and looked like being disappointed until our visit to Cluny House. Not only did we see them but got to within a few feet for photos. This really is a quite beautiful spot with amazing flora and many species of wild birds. For nature lovers Cluny... More

Simply a stunning garden full of amazing plants, red squirrels, and a seriously tranquil setting. Plants for sale too....just out money in honesty box. Very very good value. Love it and would visit again without hesitation.

Lovely peaceful walk around tranquil gardens. £5 entry , information cards available. Took about 40 mins to leisurely walk around. Some steep steps if you aren't very mobile but short cuts sign posted. Seeds and plants available for sale- just leave money in box (very cute!) Birds galore and saw a red squirrel. Lovely, peaceful afternoon. Recommended if you enjoy... More

Visited this morning in the hope of seeing the red squirrels. As soon as I pulled up in the car park there were red squirrels all around. Beautiful watching them eating hazelnuts from the feeders dotted around the interesting gardens. It was quiet when we visited and after a while the squirrels came nearer, perfect for photographing them. If you... More

This was a free walk, and was more directed at the flora, rather than the huge abundance of fauna tney have managed to cultivate. We did go there hoping to see a red squirel or two, but were bowled over by the shear amount of sightings. They were happily running around stopping every now and then to make sure we... More

Nice short circular walk through mixed woodland, rhodedendrons etc. We visited in January when a lot of the plants were dormant. Not suitable for people with poor mobility as lots of steps throughout. But the highlight of this walk is the red squirrels that were everywhere. Also lots of different birds and even spotted some deer on the way up... More

The Gardens are about 3 ½ miles outside Aberfeldy and are signposted from the B846 leaving the town heading across the Tay and following the riverside. The final section of road up to the property is single track (surfaced) with few passing places however we were fortunate not to encounter anything coming in the opposite direction. There’s a small car... More

We had a wonderful time visiting the Cluny House Gardens and even got to meet the gardener himself! Highly recommended if you are a gardener and want to get some ideas for your own 100 year plan.

A definite "must" in the Aberfeldy area, one of my favourite gardens at any time of the year- well laid out, interesting and stunning planting schemes, this garden is a real testament to the owners commitment to creating a Himalayan garden. Informal yet structured the garden offers something in every season!
