Absolutely beautiful views. Could sit mist of the day just watching it all. Quiet peaceful contentment

This is a very attractive and well-kept seafront.
Aug 2021
Largs seafront is very pleasant indeed. Obviously it has the putting greens, fairground rides, ice cream shops, pier and all the expected seaside amenities. It is worth pointing out however that it is also a very attractive seafront, with an abundance of well-kept grassy areas, palm trees and lots of benches on which to sit to take in the splendid views.

The area is very well maintained and a great place for a stroll - and long enough to make it worthwhile if you fancy the exercise.

Largs' Best Feature
Aug 2021
Lovely long peaceful walk. The best part about living in Largs. Promenade is clean and well-maintained. And the dogs on the whole are well-behaved and well-trained. North Ayrshire Council could do with cleaning up the stone beach and not leaving it to volunteers. Come by train or bus and avoid the car park. Great for unwinding, relaxing and contemplating.

Good family day put by the see
Jul 2021 • Family
Nice place for a day out with kids. Must do speed boat ride for £7 per head, which is set in front to car park. Car park is Chargeable but I am sure u can find plenty of space of side street.

Walking in Largs
Jun 2021 • Couples
Lovely seafront with plenty of space to walk up and down. We sat and watched the ferry go in and out before walking up and down. Lots of visitors were also doing the same! If the weather had been better, then I am sure there would more and it would be much busier!

Glory days past
May 2021 • Solo
After visiting since childhood,Largs is still one of two favourite seaside resorts on the ayrshire coast but the glory days are gone as it slowly descends into the plastic tray fish'n' chips low end of market which already blight other close by lifeless catastrophes. This whole coastline is in need of a huge facelift. Part of the problem lies with dubious city dwelling day trippers who turn up by bus and trainloads and litter the place senseless. This is the historic place where a dogged scots army repelled the mighty vikings. The vestiges of the towns victorian heyday are still in evidence. There is some great architecture mainly seen in the towns wonderful church spires.its the ferry hub for nearby Millport on the isle of Cumbrae
Amidst the decaying Blackpool type atmosphere there are still some very good eateries like The Green Shutters with its wonderful seaviews and The Bagel Basket near the rail station to name but two. My main criticism is not of the town itself but an element of those who visit it. Today Largs still shone in the glorious sunshine. Always worth a visit.🙄

2 years since my last visit and pleasantly surprised to find it exactly the same despite the pandemic. Great views, easy to walk along and shops nearby.
