A good lunch and more!
Aug 2021 • Family
Visited the Olive Tree restaurant today and can recommend the spicy chicken panini. Very clean venue, hardworking and friendly staff and all in all, an enjoyable experience. Baking looked lovely though we didn’t sample. Another time! My son enjoyed the adventure playground while I browsed the 2nd hand bookshop. Interesting to walk around the gardens at Logie House and the garden centre afterwards. Logie Steading is definitely worth a visit and I’d say there is something for everyone.

Enjoyable Morning

We had a lovely walk round the garden - a bit overgrown but lots of interesting plants. We then visited the garden centre and bought a clematis. Finally bought some venison sausages from the garden centre shop. Our second visit.

Double Standards
Aug 2021
Notices at the shops state that face coverings are mandatory yet the woman in charge of the art gallery only sneakily puts her face covering on when she sees someone entering the gallery and the woman at Helligogs says she refuses to wear a face mask as she has been wearing one all day in her other job as a physiotherapist. Rules for them and different rules for customers. Totally unacceptable.

Still nice

Returned for lunch this year, food was great but service was slow and disorganised. Luckily we had a table outside so we’re waiting in comfort but people were crowding round, we felt pressurised too move on!

Great visit here today; lovely walk by the Findhorn. Excellent cafe - freshly cooked food and lots of delicious cakes to choose from.
Farm shop well stocked with an impressive range of locally sourced goods.
Very good secondhand book shop too.

Covid disappointment in the shops. Cafe perfect.

I LOVE Logie, but the shop and art gallery assistants need to wear masks. I didn’t go into the art shop because of it. There was no screen up either. The other shop the lovely lady put a mask on. And I bought things. It makes all the difference.

Cafe Lunch
Dec 2020
Was here over Christmas and we had a great lunch in the cafe. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and lovely range of food. Went over to the shop for goodies! Highly recommended little batch of small business premises. Real find.

Great day out
Jun 2021
Great place to visit for the day, especially if the weather is nice. Lots of interesting shops, including a fantastic whisky shop and a very well stocked second hand bookshop. Cafe was good for lunch. A great walk along the river to Randolph's Leap - some very high and steep slopes but there are alternative routes that may be better for young children.

Excellent site to visit for a break from the fishing. Lovely cafe and a joy to sit outside and enjoy the weather . Nice food, great coffee and helpful staff. Set in lovely grounds with a number of shop outlets. An amazing bookshop and lovely art gallery to buy gifts from.
