The sections on the geology of Arran take some reading but once you get it, then you begin actually noticing the described features and rock types as you travel round the islands. The sections on the highland and island clearances and Vikings are quite brief, compared with a lot on the two world wars - but I... More

This is great for a couple of hours. Exhibits are nicely spaced out and intelligently displayed. Quite a variety of subjects on view. Added to that a nice cafe, shop and friendly staff, lovely!

This was a great place to start my Isle of Arran vacation. The staff (Jean in particular) was amazing. I went to find info om my family from the mid 1700. Jean was ready and so willing to help! I couldn't have done it without her.

If you were a Ferguson tractor and came here you would think you had gone to heaven because there are other Fergusons here and loads of the type of farm equipment these wonderful machines used to work. It's a great place for the rest of us too from stories from local people who emigrated to Canada in the clearances to... More

This is a great museum that is very accessible and easy to move around. The tea room serves good good and the shop has ago old variety of goods for sale. Interesting exhibits provide plenty of food for thought and the archives provide a good service. Well worth a visit.

Delightful Museum run mostly by Volunteers. Very informative about old Arran, lots of information, exhibits, and farm machinery from a byegone era. Also a nice tearoom, with good soup!

This is an amazing, vibrant museum which explains, communicates and celebrates the Isle of Arran.
