Not really sure what some of the people reviewing on here are going on about, it's a cave not a fair ground. For me the main cave is incredible, has almost a cathedral like quality and so well shaped for occupation you think for a...More

Clearly a very ancient place in ms of human occupation of Arran but we were a little underwhelmed as it was difficult to see the carvings of interest. It's a difficult balance to keep these places 'natural' but still enable visitors to get something from...More

Rather than use the car park sign posted for the caves, we parked in Blackwaterfoot and walked around the coastal route. It was very scenic and was a good way to observe the interesting geological structure of the cliffs. Apparently they are similar to those...More

Go at your own pace. The scenery is spectacular and we were very fortunate to go on a sunny day! A must visit.

Don't go on this walk if you have any mobility problems, very hard walk down to the cave, which in all honesty are a bit underwhelming. However, the views are magnificent and we saw a sea otter.

We enjoyed exploring the Kings Cave and looking at all the different carvings on the walls. There are also a few other caves along the beach that you can enter if its not too muddy. For the most part the walk is quite flat but...More

The cave is only part of the experience, the walk in and the scenery are the other part. Don't expect too much from what you will find......it is a Cave.....that it pre-dates History is obvious....that The Bruce was here.....well he had to hide somewhere....why not...More
