Stunning local attraction, well worth a visit. Grounds are stunning, coffee shop is nice with the option to sit in the converted stables. I would recommend going a tour of the house as it's incredible.

Reading the reviews I can see there is a problem in securing tours of the house. I must admit I failed to read the website in advance which stated that in the winter months there were no tours on weekdays, so we were disappointed to...More

Unique Chippendale furniture items, matched nowhere world-wide. HRH should be applauded for his part in preserving and polishing this Ayrshire jewel.

This is the second time we have visited Dumfries House which is an excellent project. However our recent visit was very disappointing. Our Lodge room was like an oven with underfloor heating. Although the heating was turned off by the staff we got no sleep...More

Afraid to say that Dumfries house & cafe are closed until 3rd January. Well worth a visit in the new year though.

There are stairs. I did see a stairlift but no other lift. On second lot of stairs did not see stairlift on that one. If you go on the website all details regarding access for any disability is on there. Enjoy if you go.
