Great park walks (lots of local dogs, on leads). Fine glass house visit and usually gardeners to chat to. Just try to count all the stream bridges! Good catering available.

First visit to dumfries house. Stables cafe is excellent. Mix up by waitress resulted in me losing the last gypsy cream!!! However food of good quality and surroundings excellent.

Yes You have to prebook. But the tour is really worth it and the guides are really knowledgeable. Everybody is seems proud to do the job
